Martin Blom recently released new updates (albeit in beta form still) for his Audio System, AHI.
The updates for AHI v5.5 can be found on his website.
Versions exist for MorphOS, 68K and i386 (Amithalon). There are also updated paula.audio files for MOS.
Changes include:
This version of AHI adds "anti-click" mixing routines, playback of 32 bit samples and and support for the PowerPC microprocessor (currently MorphOS only).
The 68000 processor is no longer supported; a 68020 or better is required.
The "fast" audio modes are no longer used. They will not be shown in the audio mode requester.
The non-HiFi modes are not any faster than the HiFi modes. They are just present because some music sound "better" when no interpolation is used.
Since Martin Blom isn't involved with AOS 4 in any way I can pretty safely state that there will never be any other PPC version of AHI other than for MorphOS from him.
I hope that AHI will be shortlived in AOS 4.x (would personally have prefered the ARTAS solution since it's neater and more true Amiga in style -fast and lean, which you can't say about AHI-).

Well, the OS4 feature list from January listed AHI v6 as one of the features, so he must be involved some way.

iirc martin once stated that the ahi drivers (i mean the porting of ahi to the amigaone hardware) will be done by hyperion or someone working for them. not by martin himself!
it is more like he has nothing to do with os4 at all.(?)
but maybe thomas os hans-jörg can clarify this and also tell us if ahi is already running natively on os4.
