Great news. These days I'm going to try the demo version. I will surely buy it before 15th. It would be great if we could have at least a CD for that amount of money, and not just a keyfile.

Was there *really* any need to mention OS4? Can't you say how great MorphOS is, without dragging bad feelings from some foolish & short-sighted 'war' into it?

Would be interesting to know how well (or not) the Efika runs MorphOS & common apps. And how reliable the Efika is, etc.

@MorphOS dev team

Conratulations on getting the product available.

@Caveman

The Open Client has everthing you've asked for, it may not be available for long though.

The price including shipping to Europe should be around 460 USD.

It runs pretty well. The speed is much, much faster than with a Blizzard or Cyberstorm, but obviously slower than on the Pegasos1. Browsing the net is quite okay speedwise and feels comfortable.
First impression is nice, but it needs further evaluation to really judge about it.

111.11 Euros if you buy before 7/15 I believe. If you toiled over an OS for a user population that was in the tens or hundreds how much would you charge for all the effort it would take?

Since you're comparing to Pegasos1 may I ask (as I suspect) if you're talking about MOS2.0 performance on Efika?

Thanks.

I know there was a lot of bad blood in the past. But at the same time I think you may be being a little over-sensitive IMHO. I don't think there is anything wrong with comparing feature sets, not for oneupsmanship. But just for the sake of conversation. In some cases knowing where one OS excels and the other is lacking could help us as a community to zero-in on bounty projects that could maybe happen in quicker amounts of time because the ground-work is already there from the work done in one OS or the other. Sputnik is a good example. I contributed to that bounty for OS4 and I don't have OS4. The more MorphOS installs we get out there and Efikas sold it helps not just Genesi and the MOS team, but OS4 users as well. And the reverse will be true if Hyperion wins the lawsuit with SAM and OS4. Like wouldn't it be great if Sputnik and Origyn both became mature modern browsers that ran on OS4 and MOS??

Great to see this out, and in time too!

(just...!)

But it's a shame I'm so far away from my Pegasus, won't be able to try it in ageessss!

Boo! But I'll be buying it, more expensive than I'd have liked, but compaired to some new(ish) OS that I could name* that have come out, I think it'll be better than the previous version!

*Vista.

Crossing my fingers that it runs good since I have an Efika. Though since I recently picked up a Pegasos I think I'll be going that route first. But if it runs well on Efika this will be awesome, new OS, new hardware!

It will be fun to hear back on everyone's experiences with this. :)

Unfortunately 176 dollars (111.11Euros) is more than I can afford right now. Hopefully the dollar will hold out long enough for me to save up the spare cash.
