| @Templario This version is only for OS4. I am working towards being able to make versions for other amiga flavors. Unfortunately I could only get the OS4 version ready for this release Last edited by Desler on 19-Jul-2008 at 02:46 PM.

| Thank you for you help and explanation, I wish you that your project with this program will have much success, and soon I shall enjoy your program in WinUAE or with much more luck in my own system with OS 4.x |

| It would be great if you could make Amiga-like scroll-bars! Anyway this is a good sign of a great development. Thanks! |

| I've just been playing around with the new version, and I have a couple of observations. First, thanks for your continued work on CinnamonWriter -- it's getting better each time, with more functions. The new version also starts up much faster than the previous one, and I notice that the executable file is very much smaller, which are all excellent.
On the other hand, there is something wrong with the mouse pointer handling, at least on my system. When I have clicked inside the document area, the mouse changes to a black pointer (good, it's supposed to do that) but the motion becomes very slow and jerky. Also, I notice that if I just move the mouse around in circles continuously, my cpu load monitor (I use the disk LED docky) goes to 100% and stays there. In fact, the scrolling display stops scrolling (like it can't even get enough CPU time to update its CPU load display), and only resumes when I stop moving the mouse around.
Also, I notice that CinnamonWriter misses keystrokes if I type too fast. Words will have letters missing in the middle even though I KNOW I hit the key. That looks like another issue related to the slow mouse response time. Finally, by rapidly clicking several times on the line spacing gadget (which changed from 1 to 1.5 to 2) I got CinnamonWriter to lock up. It stopped responding to mouse and keyboard input, CPU usage stayed at 100%, and other programs of course slowed down. Strangely, the mouse pointer continued to change color as long as the CW window had the focus (perhaps the mouse pointer is managed separately from the rest of CW?) and the mouse motion became perfectly smooth even when I was over CW's window and the mousepointer had changed to the CW pointer.
I hope these observations are helpful. Can anyone confirm them? Still, even with these difficulties, I really like what I am seeing with CinnamonWriter. It is great that someone is still developing real applications natively for the Amiga, and I appreciate it very much! |

| Thank you all for all the comments. If you have any suggestions for the next version, please let me know. Have anyone been able to print a document?

| My guess is that the 100% CPU load is due to SDL stuff (happens here as well).
@ Desler : Excellent work BTW ! I must use the Paypal donation button now |

With XE+HP: Got a message with a few different printer options, WB,HP,Other
"GPL Ghostscript 8.54: couldn't query printer resolution and page size"
OS4 does recognize the printer.Sometimes tried to print with IBrowse or some other program but only got some messy text.
Maybe should install TurboPrint and Ghostscript or something but haven't bothered for the HP Color LaserJet 2600n as I use it with the pc and HP DeskJet with A1200.Too much wiring for now.
The program seemed to work fine with the XE but CPU is 100% used when doing something and at the end of the lines last letter is "cut half" if full of text.Just hold a letter down for a few lines to see what I can't explain;) The complete word does not skip to the next line with a space in front of it like in a text editor too.Last edited by PR on 23-Jul-2008 at 09:37 PM.
