Software News   Software News : Pete's FTP v0.3 has been released!
   posted by xeron on 29-Jul-2008 16:03:45 (4094 reads)
Pete's FTP is an advanced OS4 native FTP/SFTP client.

You can download it from here:
http://www.os4depot.net/?function=showfile&file=network/ftp/pftp.lha

Read more...

Features:

* Fully multithreaded design
* (S)FTP to (S)FTP transfers (any combination)
* Multiple windows (for local, SFTP and FTP connections)
* Browsing while downloading
* Drag and drop
* Reaction GUI
* Pause and resume transfers
* Resume files that are already present at the target
* Transferring of whole directories with contents
* Deletion of directories with all contents
* Passive and active transfers supported
* Optional automatic binary/ascii mode setting
* AISS toolbars
* Detailed HTML documentation
* Localised (translations welcome

Changes since v0.2:

- The check to see if a date was in the future when
we had to guess the year didn't take into account
the fact that the server time might be ahead of
ours. The check now makes sure that the date is
not more than 24 hours ahead of the local system
time.
- Now built with GCC 4.2.4
- Swapped obsolete calls to the corresponding
AllocSysObject ones.
- There was one message port per subtask that wasn't
being freed. They are now.
- A couple of things that were MEMF_ANY are now
MEMF_SHARED.
- When i re-ordered the transfer queue columns in 0.2
i forgot to update the cancelled and finished transfer
pages, which meant that the filename wasn't shown.
This is now fixed.
- Finished transfers now show their final CPS.
- Re-added the stats page and now it actually has some
stats in it!

Thank you. IMHO it has the perfect UI for an ftp client.

Bye!

Thanks for another update. I use both PFTP and ATC.

Still having problems transfering many files/dirs from amiga to xbox.
The same if i send A1 - A1 locally. It copies some of them and then just waits.
Xeron if you see this you can download this xbmc app from this page and test to do a copy locally A1-A1 and see if it works ok for you. Latest XBMC SVN build. The .rar file is about 49mb. Please test it. Others people can do this test to confirm if you got the time. Just unpack the file and try to upload the full xbmc drawer locally. For example like me. Ram: -> DH2:

http://t3ch.yi.se/

PFtp works nice if i just upload a .avi file in a dir or so but not with many files/dirs like the xbmc app. ATC does this without without problem.

@Kicko

I downloaded XBMC-SVN_2008-07-28_rev14439-T3CH.rar, unarchived it to RAM: then used PFTP to copy it from RAM to my hard disk. It copied the whole lot without problem.

I really can't reproduce any of your issues, i'm afraid

@Voodoo.

Can you do a test too and also test to send to your xbox please. You can call the drawer xbmc2 to not copy over your old install.

@Xeron.

If you tested only once can you do at least 2 test more just so im sure so i can check if theres something else on my system that goes wrong.
What rar program did you use to unarchive it ?

Thanks

OK, i'll try it when i get home. I also sent all the files to my A4000 running rc-ftpd without issues.

If someone wants to send me a free xbox, i can try that
