Software News : Sodipodi 0.34 for AmiCygnix released

A release of Sodipodi 0.34 is now available on OS4-Depot. Sodipodi is a vector illustrator program, which can load and save vector graphic files in SVG format.
Sodipodi features:
Extensive set of features for editing vector images.
Drawing modes:
rectangle
ellipse
star
spiral
pen
pencil
calligraphy
text
Gradients (linear and radial).
Intuitive GUI
High performance
Printer support.
Can export project into a PNG file. Additionally can export project to Postscript and PDF format using the print requester.
How does it compare to Gimp or Photogenics for instance?
Not at all really, Sodipodi is a vector drawing/illustration package so really it should be compared to something like Adobe Illustrator. It's pretty good too although is surpassed now by the spin-off project Inkscape. Anyway, this is nice news
