| Now we start talking... :)
I will buy the 800MHz variant, though I need to save some money first.
I'm saving 150 Euro/month, so it will take some months before I can buy it.

| Great news and clearly shows Acube corresponds to market demands. Now, some more code optimization for people who got 500-677Mhz boards and much joy for new SAM owners
We need decent Radeom card better then 9250 as standard (9600,9800 and PCI Xxxx Radeon drivers, anyone?)
Both Linux PPC and OS 4.1+ should fly. _________________ OS 3.x AROS and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionalism. Learn it harder way! SinclairQL and WII U lover :D YT http://www.youtube.com/user/rasvoja

I'll probably give up my holyday in order to get me a 'Flex' ASAP.
/DREAMING_MODE ON Ah, a 'Flex', with a WD Raptor of 300Gb, a DVD-thingy, maybe a Seagate drive, all SATA of course, a decent audio expansion, a decent gfx card, AND a PCI-slot to spare.
Dream, dream, drea-eam All I have to do is drea-ea-ea-ea-eam (D.Bryant) released by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1975
All right, back to today! /DREAMING_MODE OFF

Well, it deserves some respect, doesn't it? I mean, until you *DO* have a 'Flex', you have to make do with the µ. It has served you through all these years from, whem was it, somewhere in 2004. You could as well let a developer have it for developement purposes.
I treat mine (and the battery it came with...) with some awe and respect. I currently don't don't have the cash to shell out, but eventually I will.

| OK, around £360 for the 800MHz board. That's a bit more like it. Looks like I might have to start saving. _________________

| Nice news indeed! The 800MHz version is an 677MHz version being overclocked. Is there any possibility that Acube can overclock our 677MHz Sam440EP mobos? _________________

Probably not all chips will work at 800MHz, only some (otherwise they would be rated 800MHz in the first place and not 667), so you couldn't just take any Sam board and clock it at 800MHz. Similar to how some 060 chips worked reliable at 60MHz (even though they were rated at 50) without overheating issues, while others not.
It's not clear though how many of the chips they can run at 800MHz, according to the poll everyone wants the 800MHz one, so they might have trouble supplying enough of those, if for instance only half of the boards work at 800, in which case those ones will run out fast with a lot of 667MHz ones remaining. |

Don't forget you've got VAT on top of that price Still better pound for pound performance over the little SAM _________________ "We live, we die, we laugh, we cry"

Yes. I think you have right on this matter. Acube says that the 800MHz version is guarranted to run normally, so I don't think that they will provide us with a beta motherboard.
I hope that we will not have the same "histories" like the 667MHz version. _________________
