Amigaworld.net News   Amigaworld.net News : AW welcomes new Staff member - fairlanefastback
posted by wegster on 21-Apr-2009 18:37:23 (7233 reads)
The Staff of AmigaWorld.net would like to welcome it's newest addition to Staff, fairlanefastback.

He's been a member for some time, and has shown himself to be level headed even in the midst of some at times heated threads, as well as having technical knowledge, and we all look forward to him contributing as a member of AW Staff.

Please give him a warm welcome (condolences? ).

Are you somehow trying to draw a parallel between accepting a moderator position and having a shorter life as a result?

LOL!

No, more that Pittsburgh is one hell of a long drive for me. And I think the typical closest game I could maybe catch is at best, distance-wise, Baltimore.

I really hope you don't have statistics backing that up

My wife did not appreciate a recent Kylie Minogue avatar. So I'm laying low!

If you love your wife, then make her your avatar, think of the benefits to be had by honoring her.

Well, as much as I have met some great people on the internet, I've never been one to like the idea of sharing too much of my private life in full view of the public internet where its accessible to anyone and everyone. There was a recent thread on here about Twitter and other social networking sites. I'm not too big on them. So suffice to say I'm not too keen on the idea you propose. An avatar of sports teams I like, cars I like, images I like, ok, maybe my cats, thats cool. But I think I'll keep the images of my wonderous little ones and very beautiful wife to myself.

I can't say I'm thrilled, FFB and I have never particularly seen eye to eye but I'm sure that will have no bearing on me posting here.

Good luck FFB.

Rude!

Congrats. . . I suppose. You've been an active member for quite awhile. Not too sure what making you a staff member means for you, or us, but best of luck at it.

Ed
