AmigaOS 4.1 development has pushed forward in a lot of areas lately, so it is time to share some of those with you, and show you just where the current beta snapshot is.

I have uploaded some screenshots here to have a look at.

Thanks for sharing these, Rigo.

Needed something to cheer me up today and this has helped along the way.

Cheers!

Wow, truly awesome, i have to say! Very stylish and impressivly modern!

One suggestion, is it possible to make a more BeOS-look of it, just as i had with the modified Zami-theme, but with this look, and shortening the screentitle to only surrending the title of the window?

Anyway, very impressive! It's getting better and better

I wonder if it'll be possible to put the slider buttons at the top and bottom of the slider bar.

Well, I like it that way...

@HKvalhe

The window title is not shortened, simply enclosed. The "box" expands to suit the length of the window title. Check the grabs again.

Time for another submission to YouTube then...? :)

@Stephen_Robinson

Currently there is no way to configure the scroller arrow position.

@Rigo,

New icons are amazing! My only concern is they are a bit "large" at 1024x768 and lower. Perhaps there will be icon scaling available? So you could optionally use the same icons, but scaled smaller, at lower resolutions.

I also agree that the icons are a bit too large, but that should easily be fixed..

The way the windows should be, could be inspired by my old screenshot showing this modified Zami-theme, but should then be using the new Intuition that is referred to in here...

Looks pretty nice, would be neat with scaleable icons (svg perhaps?) though.

check StartupManager

would be nice to have it as a standard solution! no more need to copy files to wbstartup. easy to activate/deactivate some of them.

the os4depot version has (afaik) problems with (arexx)scripts. hope this is solved then.

byebye...

Shadows + icons looks great IMHO. Size is ok and design wise they are definitely an improvement on the current set of icons.

Not so fond of that theme though, let programmers program and designers design ;)

The name of the partition is 4.1 RC...
Does RC stands for Release Candidate?

Nice preview, thanks for sharing it! I also find the new icons too big though (they look like they are designed for 2560x1600 WQXGA and higher resolutions), I hope that they will be scalable, or that it will be possible to switch to the older, smaller 4.1 sizes.

Don't mind the icons and I presume the window colours can be user-defined.

Not sure about the box thing around the window title - hopefully this can be switched off if desired.

With regards WBStartup - this is going to be one of those things that is going to cause a lot of fuss if/when it's changed as it is no longer the "Amiga" way of doing it. How are new items added to the startup list? (I couldn't see an Add button). How about if icons were dragged across (as they are now), but a linked icon is created automatically, that links to the location of the original so that only 1 file needs to be updated when needed?
