| What about AmigaFuture support? Are they 2.0 ready?
What about AmiKit or AmigaSYS?
I ask because I got Windows7, and both AmiKit and AmigaSYS have some nasty QA bug showing a cursor as a blinking pink square. Not sure whether this was about UAE, either AIAB or ClassicWB (that one using different UI than the said two) doesn't show that bug.
Maybe this will help remove the bug somehow... I suppose same issue is on Vista. _________________ Amiga 1200 + WARP 1260 + AmigaOS 3.2

| Nice update, this looks like the biggest WinUAE update in years
I mainly use my Minimig to play Amiga games on these days but I still use WinUAE on my laptop rather a lot so any update is welcome and this looks like it adds a ton of new features
@DiskDoctor
Sounds like a driver bug to me as I have been using AmigaForever 2008 under Windows 7 Pro 64-bit version on my laptop without problems since the official release. Last edited by Dwyloc on 14-Dec-2009 at 03:15 PM.

| Minimig is great, it just needs AGA/CD32 update where it would come near to WinUAE capacities ... as well as 4MB (2MB FAST), FCPGA as standard ... and AROS 68k or Amiga OS 3.9 as standard OS ...
AmiKit and AmiSYS to my knowledge still use WinUAE 1.x, but I assume this update is essential for them too ... _________________ OS 3.x AROS and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionalism. Learn it harder way! SinclairQL and WII U lover :D YT http://www.youtube.com/user/rasvoja

Quite true if you want a high end Amiga A1200 Tower or A4000 replacement then WinUAE is far better than a minimig...
But if you want an A500 replacement to play all your old A500 games with silky smooth scrolling and real digital Amiga joysticks then the minimig is a very good solution as it uses adf images rather than real floppy disks (which may not be working any longer) and can ether be used with a modern TFT monitor (as it has a built in scanndoubler) or a TV with a scart connector.
Even then I download each new WinUAE release and think WinUAE is one of the best things to ever happen for the average Amiga users, both past and present _________________ Sam440ep 667mhz, 512MB, 120GB 2.5" HD, OS4.1FE WinUae 3.0.0, OS 3.9, BB3, Catweasel MkIV Amiga 1200, Blizzard 040/40 (BlizzardPPC 060/200 with SCSI removed at present), mediatorSX pci, Voodoo3, PCI network card os 3.9BB2 4MB Minimig with ARM addon boar

The bug persists in AmigaSYS and AmiKit under Windows 7, no bug in AF2008 (got one too). It's a matter of particular UI - Scalos in AIAB or ClassicWB causes nothing wrong, whilst "the other one" (DOpus? Workbench?) does.
What driver btw?? _________________ Amiga 1200 + WARP 1260 + AmigaOS 3.2

I use WinUAE on Win7 Ultimate x64 version, and 2.0.0 runs fine on both AmiKit and normally with no cursor issues at all.
This would definitely point to an issue with a driver supplied with your laptop interfering with WinUAE. It could be something simple such as the way WinUAE now deals with the display. Have a look at the DirectDraw display buffer settings in the "Miscellaneous" tab. The default is DefaultRam, but on of the other 3 options may work for you, and if that is the case, it normally points to a conflict with your display drivers. _________________ Test sig (new)

I don't think WinUAE supports Win98/98SE for a while now. You better try an older version.Last edited by Zontrox on 15-Dec-2009 at 03:30 AM. Last edited by Zontrox on 15-Dec-2009 at 03:30 AM.

| I seem to remember a pink rectangle around the mouse pointer as being related to an Intel graphics driver bug. You may want to try updating/downgrading the driver and/or changing the setting of Amiga Forever/Tools/Options/Plugins/WinUAE/[] Use non-local video memory. |

Thanks, man! I've changed DefaultRAM to SystemRAM and it works again!!
I've got a SoC graphics shared with RAM btw.

Support for the 9x kernal was dropped several versions ago when the development system was moved over to a newer version of the VisualStudio C/C++ development kit.
If you are using this on 95/98/ME, then you will have to use an older executable as no new ones will add support for this kernal again.

Glad to have helped. _________________ Test sig (new)
