The Polish website Retroage has interviewed the Natami 3D-artist Bartek Kuchta about the Natami project. It provides a good overview of the project for those not previously familiar with it, as well as some new information and a look at some of the games developed for the platform along with WIP pictures. Yes, if the 68k port is brought back from the dead. A new guy recently took up the Kickstart Replacement (Phase 1) bounty, which would be the first step to get AROS up and running on 68k again.
Some other positive news is that WinUAE just got better MMU support, and that in turn would help in getting 68k linux running on UAE, which would help out AROS 68k greatly.
There are threads discussing this on Aros-Exec and on EAB.

What is more realistic in a closer timespan, though, is to continue patching in AROS code in OS3.x, like bernd_afa is doing in his great AfAOS project.

AROS on 68k, however, would be just like running an improved OS 3.x, with full binary compatibility. The only difference is that the community would now be in control of the future of the OS.

I am very grateful for what the AROS gang is doing, and realize that it is beneficial for the entire Amiga community.

I'm pretty sure you won't get that many demoscene-releases using any of the extended Natami features (if the machine ever will be finished and released).

It's an amazing achievement. I'd break the bank to get one...

The only slightly disappointing thing is the PS/2 & IDE rather than USB & SATA, but that's a pretty trivial complaint in the grand scheme of things.

The graphics of those screenshots looks great. I cant wait to see this thing in action.
Amiga would probably not have been "dead" now if commodore released something like that in the first half of 90s.

Just to let you know that my latest case should accept mirco-atx, flex-atx and mini-itx boards so as long as the NATAMI fits within these standards it should fit in my case (also known as Loriano's Most Ambitious Project).
