| Great news, and the fact it's exclusive to AmigaOS and MOS it's a plus many here will appreciate (compared to stuff also available for Win/Mac I mean) it shows dedication

But how does Hollywood improve a developers life ? Network support ?
I thought Hollywood would be the one language to be truly portable across Amiga systems, so why introduce specific MUI 4.0 (morphos only) features ?
Im sorry the screenshots are too small to see the quality.

As I understand it the MUI 4 features are used by designer *itself*, but aren't useable by designer projects (I would of course love the ability to create MUI apps with Hollywood - it is my biggest wish on my personal Hollywood wish list, but I think this wish will not coem true too soon).
Nice news anyway. Looking forward to the next Hollywood update as well.

| I bought Hollywood, Hollywood Designer & Malibu recently, so just wondered about upgrade options.
Will it be a free download to existing customers?
I have only recently started programming, badly, with Hollywood and would be disappointed if it's not a free upgrade.

This is a totally new version; an upgrade option will undoubtedly be offered for existing customers but to expect the latest version to be offered for free is a little unrealistic don't you think?
The Hollywood and Designer packages are constantly evolving, and nicely at that. But it is reasonable to expect Airsoft to charge to upgrade to the latest version to cover their development costs - the purchase of a product doesn't give the user unlimited access to future versions, but by offering a discounted upgrade path it reflects said costs incurred by the developer WHILST rewarding the user for their product loyalty & previous custom.

| Congratulations to Airsoft Softwair!
We have been using Designer 3.0 for some time now, and I the software is amazing! Version 3.0 is really a powerful tool to create both software and presentations.
The stability is also superb – the 700pages-project Airsoft Softwair is talking about is not a simple slideshow but a program called Dental Info. Each page is pretty complex containing 25-50 objects to create interactive menus and navigation-system. The source code alone is 10 mb and Designer has no problems at all handling it. Being able to compile this into an executable that works on all flavors of Windows is great!
In my eyes Hollywood Designer 3.0 is the most exciting software released for the amiga + clones for several years! I'm looking forward to see what other users comes up with once they get their hands on Designer.

| Well, you are probably correct - to be honest I have never tried the executables on win 98 or older.. and I do not know anyone still using these OS'es - atleast none of our customers still does.
I have however tested on Win 2000, Win 2003 (server), XP, Vista and Windows 7 - and our software both looks and acts the same way on all those systems . (Aswell as Macs).
So even if it should not work on win 3.11, win95 and win 98 this is still pretty impressive don't you think?
