Awesome, glad to hear it. Do you forsee a FF4 beta release for os4 in 2011? |
Hopefully, yes. Unfortunately, the code for FF4 has changed significantly from the FF3 base, so it's going to be a lot of effort again. However, the biggest issue with the original FF porting was to get everything in place, understand the structure of the code, how it works internally etc... we have a good grasp on that now, so even if we would have to redo everything from scratch, it would be faster this time. _________________ Thomas, the kernel guy

| Great news! Is there any chance that official OS4 website (used to be os4.hyperion.biz) will be back anytime of the rest of this year?
That + development blog would be great!
At least there are 4 OS 4.1 versions to offer (Pegasos II/A1, Classic, EP440 and EP460)
Links to a history page on Pegasos II and AmigaOne as well as to Acube products is a must from both sites, since OS4 is verry hardware specific, or at least to Wiki OS 4.1 page _________________ OS 3.x AROS and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionalism. | I watched that video and it's amazing how his classic machine looks so fast (when gfx card is doing all the job instead of CPU and taking into account how slow and old CPU it has also). _________________ Rock lobster bit me.
