News   News : X1000 Rev 2 board in production
   posted by OldAmigan on 18-Mar-2011 21:51:02 (25277 reads)
London, 18th March 2011

With the production of AmigaOne X1000 Beta test boards in progress, A-EON technology is pleased to release schematics of the final revision 2 Nemo motherboard layout. In true "Amiga tradition" the lead designers have added their signatures to the Nemo motherboard. We are also pleased to reveal details of the upgraded XENA subsystem featuring a 500MHz, dual-core XS1-L2 XMOS chip. Please check out the latest images of the revision 2 Nemo and XENA schematics in the Media gallery on the A-EON Technology website.

Congrats to all involved parties, I hope you're proud of this new mobo.

Now regarding this new XMOS thing, what is the new stuff about it....is it running stereo now!! and what impact does it have on the X1000's freakfactor.

So are the boards in production the "5 off for approval" mentioned here, or has that step been skipped and actual beta tester boards are in production?

Love the human touch.
Signed boards, "Keep this party going", "Sock-cakes" delivered to websites administrators...
Might seem nothing to some, but it makes me feel a certain warmth...

Nice, and sorry for reiterating this, but please pay someone to do something with that website... it's horrible and unprofessional beyond words!

@pavlor

That's fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion, I'm not trying to change anyone else's perception of the site, I just don't think it's up to much that's all

@Slash

Would you say it's worse than the orginal C=USA site?

Actually the only problem I see is that websprite in the corner but it does look nice. And okay OS4 window borders don't look very modern on a website but are on topic. Apart from that I think it has nice modern looking graphics. I think it looks good for an Amiga site and I've see nmuch worse!
