   posted by phoenixkonsole on 10-May-2011 19:40:44 (4160 reads)
Yep Vesalia did it again : D
The AresOne is now available for ~235€! And I am talking about the full pack which includes:

AresOne with 2.8GHZ AMD Sempron (expendable via configurator)
2GB DDR3 RAM (exendable via configurator)
500GB SATA HD (expendable)
Broadway including FULL Version of AMC the Amiga Media Center
Or IcAROS desktop
Wndows, Linux are optional... Linux is a free Option (installing costs nothing).
The AresOne comes with AmigaForever 2009 OEM and A-live X which includes a FryingPan key and CinnamonWriter for AROS

You can also buy the Kit for ~199.99€ including the software.

Visit www.vesalia.de

Have a look here on Youtube if you like ; )

Oh and since AmigaForever and JanusUAE are included you should have a look at this:

That is real Classic emulation box, legal and nice!

Maybe some Athlon X2 wouldn`t hurt the machine, but nice to see!
Maybe my next PC!

@phoenixconsole
That's a great piece of kit, especially for the price. Nice one Pascal.

Was wondering if you offered graphics card options (not needed in the base system, just as options)? Reckon you'd get some interest from such options.

Phenom II X4 Quad Core, 3.4 Ghz, 6 MB L2 Cache +EUR 88.90

OK, so you can get Phenom X4 and plus expand hard drive, RAM etc.
and still have money for CUSA Cx64 price? Plus legal emulation box
and software!

Looks cheap, but I do not know - if it is me or something, but this desltop layout makes me feel nervous. Please ask some designer to fix layout, icons and colours for you. Looks veeery outdated. It is not 1992. anymore... Loong time passes and it is time to show product in full shining. And it won`t happen this way. [Sorry if I sound too harsh, but I believe it is time to make attention on system graphics now].

p.s. no, I don`t have time to play w/ gfx and will not fix anything. As long time Amiga user and fan, I will more spend playing with new Amigas and making them look more attractive than other systems.

In my opinion, MorphOS looks outstanding. Their designers knows and love their work!

@HenryCase
Yep, Vesalia offers the Geforce 8400 for Nouveau support.
The base systems has an ATI HD3000 which works only with Vesa-modes (where screen-dragging works now too ; ) ) Bearsoft is working on an ATI HD driver... so i cross my fingers!

@djnick
Please watch the part about themes:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhUTUz2E7hI

I think customizing AROS to fit to everyones taste is impossible. I used some time the MOS-Theme and numbers of critics where higher. I used the black ICE mk II Theme and critics where the same.... i will now introduce the (optional) "drawer" icon-set and i am sure: number of critics will be the same : D Some will like it but other not.

Feel free to customize "your" AROS.. plenty of themes and ICON`s are available.

assamble max ARES One ...

4GB fast RAM
1TB HDD
nice monitor
Proper modern keyboard and mouse
AROS, LInux and Windows 7 Starter as well as rest of pack
even case change

Will it reach price of cheapest CUSA junk?

Nice. The prices are competitive with the local ones.

I might get one unlocked dualcore Phenom system one day (and try to get the other cores running as well).

I imagine Phenom set to run using one core (but with the full 6M of cache) would not eat much power but would give superb performance for emulation etc. And the experience of running AROS in QEMU on Ubuntu Using all cores would not be too slow either...

Another interesting modern system to play with is the AMD Fusion.

Agreed, and most is at least free to try.
Get us somehow MOS 2 for Amiga Classics, SAMs and X1000

AresOne is great PC system, with CUSA promised triple boot

Verry nice package, and its careful choice of hardware and good pack of software
its all about!

@phoenixkonsole

Good to hear on AresOne/AROS's Radeon HD driver.

The price is good.
