| I really like the Retro player which works equally as well with Classic productivity software as it does with games. I also like the integration with AmiKit & AmigaSys and the AROS taster.

| Looking good. Now there is more fun also for non-windows people: http://www.amigaforever.com/screenshots/kxlight-boot/
Commodore USA should bundle AmigaForever with their PCs!!!!!!!
Update: Cloanto should use some multiplatform programming tools for their SW, like Hollywood. Last edited by KimmoK on 09-Nov-2011 at 08:00 PM.

| I have held off buying Amiga Forever for years but it seems to go from strength to strength, so maybe its time... _________________ Amiga A1200, 3.1 ROMs, Blizzard 1230 MKIV 64MB & FPU, 4GB DoM SSD, Workbench 3.1

| If they are going to designate it "Amiga Forever 2012", it should be released in 2012. Why confuse the issue with inaccurate designations? |

| Yeah, the kxlight is not new at all but it's really a nice thing IMO. This is as close we can come to an "updated" Amithlon today.
The sad part is that it works great as LiveCD but I havn't got it to work properly when I tried to install it. Dunno if this has been fixed, I would upgrade incase this is the case for sure. |

Most publishers do this so something isn't out of date as it is released. If you ever buy a monthly magazine, you will notice you are buying it a month before the month it says on the cover. Same can be said for Microsoft Office and the list goes on. Its just a marketing thing that has gone back a long time. _________________ Amiga A1200, 3.1 ROMs, Blizzard 1230 MKIV 64MB & FPU, 4GB DoM SSD, Workbench 3.1

| I'm very happy AmigaForever now supports AmiKit, AmigaSYS and AROS. This gives it many thumbs up. However I still miss Amiga in the Box and ClassicWB therein. If the authors do not include their solutions into AF API, they will become obsolete. I hope they know it.
Alas I have tremendous problems with AF. For most games, despite that I select dual disk option, the player asks me for disquette switch. WHich makes most of those games unplayable at all (i.e. the resolution gets back to high and it requires a few clicking steps - taking several seconds).
I think it might be connected with the fact that sometimes second disk is considered bootable, like the first one. I suppose the error shows up in such cases.
Anyone have any clue? I'd appreciate. _________________ Amiga 1200 + WARP 1260 + AmigaOS 3.2

| Has anyone tested the AROS side of things on Amiga Forever? Are there any specifics? Is it Amiga Forever's own version? _________________ The AROS Show

AROS is there already, and unless You write a decent PPC emulator, there's no way out there for AmigaOS and MorphOS.
Besides, one can run MorphOS on a cheap HW so no point to emulate PPC here, at all. _________________ Amiga 1200 + WARP 1260 + AmigaOS 3.2
