Software News   Software News : LoView 2.35 released!
   posted by Tuxedo on 31-Dec-2011 16:21:21 (3180 reads)
As a present (I hope!) for the last day of the year, I'm pleased to announce that LoView 2.35 was just uploaded onto AmiNet (all AmigaOS flavours) and OS4Depot (AmigaOS4.x)!

Please test it and let me know what do you think about it!

Happy New Year 2012 to ALL!

LoView - the Easy Viewer and Thumber

LoView was an easy to use viewer designed to let the user choose what to do in fast and comfortable way.

Supports many file format (depending on which DataTypes you have installed) and may save in JPG, PNG, IFF or BMP file format, so you can also delete/copy/move/rename/save a rotated or flipped image for example, or maybe only convert an image in another format you like...

With the LoViewThumb program you can also look at your nice pics in a thumbnail mode

@Tuxedo

Nice one, looks really good.

Question for you, how did you get the Camera information out of an image? Is there a HW command for this or did you retrieve this information some other way?

@tuxedo

I just now looked on both AmiNet and OS4Depot and did not find it.
Why not?

@Tuxedo:

Okay I downloaded this little hex editor on OS4Depot called FileX to look at some jpegs. I have no clue how many Exif standards there are, but I do have a bunch of xExif II jpegs here from my Sony Ericsson. I'll post a little something on the hollywood forums right now, can't paste programming code on here looks horrendous.

@Tuxedo

Hi Simone, I tried it on my Icaros test installation and AROS LoView doesn't work. I've already filed a bug report to the email address published on the readme file, complete with screenshots. May you have a look at it? Thanks

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
