| Nice to see that AmigaOS 4.1 is highly backward compatible between updates. I test DigiBooster 3 on 4.1 without any update installed. Have to install them all some day... _________________ RastPort

| It seems to me that Pianeta Amiga, the recent years, has emerged as the definitive Amiga show globally since it always has so much news and information to dish out (especially in comparison with the US counterpart - AmiWest)! Thanks everyone for organizing it :) _________________

I'll have to take your word for that , cos I can't find any posts with any details, pics or anything about what's happening at this show…
At least Amiwest, posted live feeds, videos and topics on the forums about what's happening at their event, sadly this show as far as I can tell aint dishing out all that news and information you mention…
Is there a secret site or link you have to got to find all that info… _________________

| Just back from the show, nothing secret about it, only a lot of italians chatting in italian and definitely having fun. Some problem with the Internet connection, there were only a 3G connection for quite a lot of computers, needless to say, it was deadly slow, but anyway better than nothing. Got to use the mobile to downlad some stuff.
Here a picture from the Sunday morning:
A lot of people on sarturday and I was busy showing around stuff. Less people on Sunday as there was (unluckily) a train strike and a lot of people couldn't show up.
I was there showing three Linux distrubutions working on the Sam460ex: Debian Squeeze, Debian Wheezy and Ubuntu 12.04, all working reasonably well. No public ISO yet, sorry, working on my spare time (I don't get paid for this, only I need Linux and don't want another computer on th desk!).
Showing also the following preview: Sketchblock 1.8 by Andy Broad, Abiword 2.8.6, Gnumeric 1.10.17 and The Gimp 2.6.11 by Edgar Schwan.
Beside me there was Frank Mariak quite busy working on the MorphOS port to the Sam460. The port is at alpha stage (lot of drivers still missing) but the overall experience feels quite stable already. Poor German guy, all of us we were speaking italian only, so rude! We had quite a bit of a chat in english and he showed a bit of MorphOS, completely alien to me.
Behind me there was Andrea Palmatè hard at work porting a game, don't remember the name, sorry.
I saw the PCI-express 1x USB3 interface working, but still a beta.
I had the chance to try a graphic tablet with SketchBlock and I must admit I was impressed: pressure, pen size, all working well.
There were some Haiku people but I hadn't the chance to have a chat with them, I only know that Haiku does not yet work on Sam460, but they are hard at work.
ACube was focus on showing off the MorphOS port and sold some stuff like Minimig, magazines (Amiga Future and Bitplane), some Sam460 and other useful stuff.
Here you are some forum about it
