software AROS   software AROS : New video shows a preview of next Icaros' AmiBridge
   posted by paolone on 18-Dec-2012 22:12:20 (1632 reads)
"AmiBridge" is the set of technologies (basically scripts, the Janus-UAE emulator and AROS M68K) used by the popular AROS distribution Icaros Desktop to run classic Amiga software on common PCs. Icaros website published a video showing the latest evolution of AmiBridge, explaining how the new presets work and also how to change its behavior from integration to full screen, and so on.

- the italian version, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3N4hQVzsidk

Technical advise: video has been shot using VMware's movie capturing feature, which unluckily drops a lot of frames during caption. Real execution is obviously faster and smooth.

Looking forward to this being released into the wild, however, the work, testing and patience in releasing is good to see.

What do you know - another piece of Amiga-software using the "Ami"-preflix. That is so fresh!

@Petah

Only for 4 years now.

http://vmwaros.blogspot.com/2008/11/introducing-amibridge.html

Only in this case it actually makes sense as it's a bridge from AROS to Amiga software.

;)

I cannot hear the video at all but I like the idea of running 68k apps seamlessly much like glUAE or RunInUAE do for OS4.1.

btw, will I be able to run AROS68k on my real Amiga 1000 off my scsi HD one day ?
