Amigaworld.net News   Amigaworld.net News : New software releases by OnyxSoft
   posted by Deniil715 on 14-Nov-2014 17:51:42 (2489 reads)
OnyxSoft releases a few updates to MPlayer-GUI, CodeAudio and BackUp.

MPlayer-GUI v1.53 - (OS4) GUI for MPlayer for OS4.

- Added a chooser for dvd/dvdnav since newer MPlayers work better with dvd instead of dvdnav.
- Added the new comp_yuv and comp_yuv2 video outputs for the new RadeonHD v2-enabled mplayer.
- Added webm file type and reordered the file pattern list.
- Reinserted the old cgx_vmem in case someone has a machine where this works best.
- Moved the "Show MPlayer output" setting to the main page for easier access.
- Added "# = Switch language" to the key help page.

CodeAudio v3.12 - (68k) Full-featured GUI for audio encoders (MP3/OGG/FLAC/FAAD) with a wizard and CD, CDDB/FreeDB support.

- Much better algorithm for detecting how CDDB/FreeDB track names should be processed.
- Added the CDDB preview window when importing a CDDB file.
- Fixed CDDB/FreeDB that did not handle titles and artists correctly.

BackUp v1.91 - (68k) Backup program that mirrors a directory structure.

- Returns a value to DOS depending on the success of operations.
- Fixed wrong parameter to MakeLink() causing MakeLink errors on OS4.1.7 beta.
- Added a requester when running verify without any log.
- Fixed logging to the stats window with/without "Don't clear stats windows".
- Fixed logging of files that do not exist during verify.
- Fixed calculation of space required.
- Log file now records all processes that were run subsequentially, not only the last process.
- Fixed a division by 0, I think.
- Fixed WARN1 output when entering wrong parameters. Please report if you see this!

If you see a bug or have a suggestion, please don't hesitate to drop me an e-mail!

Yay, thanks for CodeAudio, thanks for Backup

Will this new MPlayer-GUI work with the upcoming DMA release?

Edit: Some minor glitches

The Backup website states that the version is 1.90, while it's 1.91 in the package

CodeAudio bins (all three) produce an empty window when doing "version" from Workbench and Shell

That's the idea
It will also be part of the Radiance package AFAIK.

I've notice Develin about the BackUp version.

Noticed the version in CodeAudio. Strange, will have a look.
Edit: Made an auto-update to CodeAudio with fix to the version strings.

Ah great to see, this was an old old issue ..
Just a note, the current CodeAudio archive contains only the files for an update, but many users may install it from scratch, pls can you reupload it as a full archive instead ?

@Raziel

Thanks for the info about the wrong version.

This has been an on-and-off issue, depending where in the code the various strings ended up. C:Version scans from the beginning of the file. Now I removed the false hits so it can't happen again.

People can download the archive and start it. The auto-update will install the new fixed version. That what is it for, to make it easier for me to make small fixes without any real news i them.

I'm sorry people, but apparently there was a problem with both the new BackUp archive and CodeAudio.

DirOpus 5's "Add Lha" was misconfigured so CodeAudio archive was not complete. Should be fixed now on both Aminet and OnyxSoft.

BackUp had some fixes that was not discovered on OS4.

@klx300r

AmiStore is primarily for commercial and shareware software. My programs are freeware, and pretty old, 68k, so I will keep these in the old places, like Aminet for now. Maybe later it could make sense to add them to AmiStore.
