On my AmigaONE X5000 with Warp3D Southern Islands, XFX RadeonHD 7770 and debug kernel I get between 220 - 227 FPS on Cow3D.

Once I press 'b' it reports 236 FPS (5813tris 2914points)

someone else could test, but i think result within this range of fps may be achievable with winuae on a proper pc, considering surface is only a tablet with mobile 1.7ghz i5 and intel hd 4000, which means almost no 3d acceleration by todays standards, no? ;)

Have you tried it with the new Warp3D drivers?

A pi2 gets 550fps in software mode.

Are you sure that cow3d is running accelerated at all on your machine?
Just out of curiosity, could you try it with wazp3d?

you mean aros native on pi2? cow3d includued with aros wazp3d contribution is an old much simpler version. it naturally gets higher framerates, i get 7200fps with aros hosted on my surface. this isnt really telling.

The best tweak after all for ioquake3..

cg_simpleItems " - With this on, all items will be displayed in 2D rather than spinning in 3D. This is especially helpful for people with slower machines as it can really speed things up. Dont bother if you have a specification above or near to mine. FPS gain with this on: 3 - 10 FPS.

Hmmm in one aim_map i try with many 3dicons i gain +70fps ..
Vsync off......have 50 fps with all 3dicons rotating when switch on simpleitemes get 121 fps....vsync off offcourse..

Wasn't aware that there is a difference in cow3d demo for different platforms.
Need to check it on os4.

My Sam460ex came with Radeon HD 4650 aka RV730.. is that going to be supported at some point in the near future?

There are no plans to support R700 cards under Warp3D and I've no idea how long you could be waiting for Gallium.

A-EON didn't feel it was didn't feel drivers for older cards were financially viable since they were already difficult to source when they first decided to develop 3D drivers.

A silly question: if a user owns 2 Amiga Ng (i.e. X1000 and Sam460ex) with installed two different graphic cards, belonging one to 6xxx serie and one to 7xxx serie, does he have to pay twice for Warp3D drivers?

Hi. Yes it's one licence per machine for both the RadeonHD driver and Warp3D driver. See terms and conditions on A-EON download section.

I asked the same thing and Amigakit said they have started on supporting 6 series cards but no timeline so I'm looking for a suitable 7 series card to replace my HD6850 as I'm the impatient type

the updated Warp3Dsi archive on Amistore contains previous 1.8 version of the drivers and an old minigl versions.... (the debug version is not present anymore)
