Looks good, shame it didnt come with videos to see performance.
Its all pretty - looking at fancy patterns but i'm more interested in how it performs when creating pro games with many objects and effects and GPU/CPU usage while running.
Does Hollywood have a proper debugger yet, so we can create breakpoints for bugs ?

I have tested it on Windows there it is very fast, on 68k it is of course slower. You would need videos for every supported platform. |

| WOW! I didn’t see this one coming! It is indeed amazing news! I think we are going to see a lot of interesting, quality releases using Hollywood from now on.
I really hope this plugin will get even more developers to try out Hollywood! Given the constant flow of free plugins, Hollywood has proven itself to be great value for money.
"Hollywood/Hollywood Designer" is in fact the main reason why I use my Amigas. |

Of course it depends on the video performance of the target, and on the OpenGL realization of the platform. The Amiga derivatives are not top noth at those fields.
I can show you performance capturing a high-end pc display that blows your socks, and can show you my mikroA1 where you won't want to port Elite:Dangerous with Hollywod.
As the documentation states, it is an OpenGL1.1 implementation. It is quite old, and not gives the best OpenGL performance with newer hardwares, but a great new territory to conquest for Hollywood users.
And I am sure this is just the first step on the Hollywood 3D road. |
