I think the position of the mouse port on the A600 makes the connector housing get caught by the case, so it needs a slight extension for the connector to fit ok

@amigakit

It looks exactly like a Logitech RX 250, which is an excellent mouse I can purchase here in Italy for about 10, 00 EUR.

Very interesting product but way too expensive for me.

Was saying the same that here is a Logitech Premium Optical Mouse. Looks same if You change the logo. Very good indeed and even better if You put an Amiga sticker on it.

Also the Logitech keaboard is very good. Thanks for the Finnish Amigadealer!

Yep, it's a rebadged mouse with the Amiga adapter built in. If you consider that the adapter is over €25 by itself, the mouse itself is costing less than €10 which is about right.

@Daedalus

I understand anyway I believe we need cheaper prices, generally speaking.
Final price about 34, 00 EUR + postage, if I am not wrong.
Not to forget that it is still recession time, at least here in Italy.

I still cannot imagine why noone has thought to mold polyurethane connectors that would fit the A600 directly.

While I can understand we want cheaper prices for everything, we have to take a step back and look what we are spending money on.
Its hardware from the 90s, and vendors supply low unit count runs which means the development/production cost is spread across fewer units. So each unit will have that cost included by default. Ontop of that the vendors have to justify sitting on a certain stock to be able to deliver within reasonable time when me and you decide to purchase from their website.
AND they want to be able to justify the time spent doing this, aka; salary or in Daniels case smokes and coffe.

Bottomline; if you dabble in non-mainstream hobbies, it WILL cost you more than make sense if you compare it to the Wintel market.

I just ordered 100 euros worth of hardware to my A1200 from Amigakit. Looking at what that hardware delivers in way of performance vs Wintel I have to be bonkers to do it. But its my hobby to tinker with the A1200, and at the moment its putting it into a tower.

Looks like just what I am after to replace my sadly battered black AT mouse!

And a nice standard 9-pin connection too! Ordering one right now

Kind regards,
Spud.
