software AROS   software AROS : AspireOS 2.0 Codename: Titan
posted by nikosidis on 15-Feb-2018 13:01:12 (3107 reads)
After many years I finaly got around to bring you another version of AspireOS.

For starters this is a free open source OS build on the classic AmigaOS 3.1 but much more advanced bringing in much of todays standards. Read here for more info.

www.aros.org

There are a realy good advanced web-browser included and a realy good media player that play most of todays media files. Some classic software like DOpus 5 Megellan II is present and to be creative there are gfx programs, audio trackers, music editing software also in the package. To have fun there are also some games.

This OS runs on i386 computers and possible to install in many ways. Virtual box is one way that should work for most.

If you really want the best of it you should get some dedicated hardware. There are laptops that can be used or you can simply build your own stationary solution to install the right hardware for it.

Drivers for gfx-cards, network-cards are very limited. Have a look here for more info about the subject.

Download the ISO file from here:

http://archives.aros-exec.org/share/development/misc/aspireos_v.2.0_i386.rar

There will be videos about how to use this OS together with many tips and much more.
I suggest you follow the news page on this site.

From this gallery you can see the AspireOS in action.
