Amigaworld.net News   Amigaworld.net News : Programmer looking for his lost game
posted by sibbi on 23-Apr-2022 18:20:19 (1660 reads)
Hi,

I'm writing on behalf of Matt Woodroof who made a game for the Amiga back in 1994 called Willy's Humungous Adventure, but has lost the source code as well as a copy of the game itself and wants to recover it.

He sold two versions (with and without the source code) back in 1994 directly and a few users purchased them so there's a slim chance someone might still have a working floppy.

If anyone has a copy and could make an ADF or DMS of it please send me a PM and I'll get it to Matt!

The links above seems to be expired, but its easy enaugh to find the correct issues once redirected to the main page.
Perhaps this link to the review works more permanent.

noxlar: Thanks for the link to the Amiga Magazine Rack. Its gives quite a nostalgic feeling looking into some of those old scans.

The Amiga Power review gives the game a slightly better score (4/5) than the 70% in The One magazine.
The review is on page 119, but at the end of the PD section at page 120 there is a reference to the 17-bit software collection. This suggests that a PD version might be available on one of the 17-bit disks from that time.

NutsAboutAmiga: Good luck in recreating the game in one day
