lol, I did post about xena in the other thread for ya. I'll post again now for easy following...
On this page: http://www.a-eon.com/4.html
if you click on "Not yet..." and type xena into the prompt you get a message that says "You know way too much..."
So I think that is what the xena speculation is about :) _________________ Back to action! |

THANK YOU!
So what have you typed in those prompts?
I mean in the CPU part, has anyone tried a cpu (PPC)? Last edited by TheDaddy on 03-Jan-2010 at 05:53 PM.

And if you were going to use Zorro cards like the Flyer you would also need a video slot for the Video Toaster card that the Flyer requires to work.
[/Quote]
Unless there is an optional Bridgeboard that plugs into a Xorro Slot which provides the mechanics for zorro slot and also the video slot with xena providing the classic resources required. ???

So what have you put? What types of CPUs?
Has anyone had any results?

What Xena does do, is follow the tradition of using women names for custom Amiga chips (Paula, Denise, Gary (ducks).. ). _________________ Back home... |

| @BinoX So regarding the HW we need to know the exact CPU and what Xena is.
We know the CPU is PPC and I suspect the Xena stuff is or backwards compatibility but some more details would be nice (yes I know there will be updates tomorrow).
This campaign is really bad planned, tomorrow I'm back at work and have no more time for this stuff

And what would be the point ???
The toaster (Amiga-version that is) is completly outdated, and whatever such a frankenstein-computer could could be done just as good with a real Amiga. Today everything video can be done by brute CPU/GPU force. Much more sane to provide those and then write some video-SW useing it. Last edited by Kronos on 03-Jan-2010 at 05:59 PM.

When you click on the box over the CPU and type in one of these: freescale, motorola, ibm, amcc, pasemi, p.a. semi, xilinx you get "It's a PowerPC CPU, if that's what you're driving at."
if you type in one of thse: cell, kilocore, xenon, gekko, broadway, blue gene you get "Does that seem likely?"
and if you type in one of these: titan, e600, 8641D, 8640D, QorIQ, P2020, p4080, pa6t, 970mp, 83290, pwrficient you get "Ooooh you're so smart you'll cut yourself. But we still ain't telling. Sorry, we'd love to. Can't. It's quite a story, actually..."
and if you type anything else you get: "For all I know, you're spot on. Unfortunately, being a weak and feeble piece of Javascript, I didn't understand. Sorry."
As for the box over by the PCI and PCIexpress slots
If you type in "X" you get "Yes. We were hoping for more though." If you type in "xena" you get "You know way too much..." If you type "a chip" you get "Duh" and if you type anything else you get "Interesting guess. Come back tomorrow and we'll talk about custom chips..."
