Hey, don't know it, let's be positive . . .

So, when are you looking at for the show?

@Holley & Paul

thanks for the concern...

Its more about damage limitation actually.

My agency knows I'm about to become the catalyst for a "Mikey_C" style Exodus to another Agency. I'm currently working (?) a weeks notice.

So the Agency are deliberately keeping me at home ... No work = No pay.

They are actually doing me a favour coz the weather is absolutely lousy and I dont fancy driving a heavy in this weather.

Good Job we always keep 3 weeks wages aside as an emergency fund !!

@All

Okay after a *lot* of hastle I've finally prety much secured a venue... My application has to go infront of a committe next week but that should just be a formality. Once Im a member I can then book the venue.

With the help of a friend I have been round prety much every suitable venue in Scunthorpe and they have all proven to be either too expensive, already booked up or not suitable after all.

So the downside to all this is that the show now looks like its going to be held in a village just a mile or so outside of Scunthorpe, but we will still have our bar

Also dont worry about mileage since its about the same distance from the motorway as my original venue I was trying to book. You just take the first exist from the end of motorway roundabout rather than the 3rd

Stay tuned for an updated website and an official news announcment over the weekend.

@Clueless

there is no drill really for this shindig...

Show times im aiming for 2pm to 8pm (officially close at 7 giving an hour to pack up)

There will be an entrance fee to cover my costs (im also unemployed) but I'll try not to charge too much.

And basically you can bring any computer stuff you like along, anything at all... or nothing at all, totally upto you

Its more of a usergroup meeting / party then a show, thers no commercial activity anymore for a show...

The more XBoxes the merrier, since time is limited this means quick & easy Lan gaming (Halo 1/2, Project Gotham 1/2 and Midway Arcade Treasures will be available)

Glad you managed to get a venue sorted!

@Ryu

Well it would cost me around £48 by train let alone the cost 4 B&B like i did at the Bigbash2, but never know, if more ppl from kent and SE-England are going could group up on a transport medium, thus allowing me to bring my AmigaOne also :D

But atm could be a hefty price just to arrive.

PS i did vote already , as noticed ur newsgroup postings, but il vote again

heh yeah...

Paste from IRC coming up:

if you know any Amigans from the Norfolk area I'd be glad to bring them up.

So if anyone out there in the Norfolk area wants to come but cant get transport post here and I'll relay the message on.
