Damn, damn, Dammity-Damn. : I've already explained to Rude! I can't come; NOT an easy decision.

It's too awkward to get from Coventry from where I am- kind of out-on-a-limb. Plus4 and A1200 probably know what I mean.

I was wondering, should I send a copy of the finished Mysterious City of Cold DVD to MAG, including older Amiga-generated work by me, or has everyone had enough of that?

Sorry you can't make it. I'm thinking of coming and as I think I told you was enjoying your Mysterious City of Cold animation until I got to the Conclusion whereby it was unplayable on an Apple Mac! Send the DVD I want to know how it ends!

P.S./Have you got Mysterious City of Gold on DVD yet?

have decided to sell the raffle tickets at 75p per ticket or £5 per strip of 5.

Niceguy, so its Cheaper to buy 5 Single tickets than the strip of 5

5x75p=£3.75
5 ticket Strip =£5

oops A re think is required

@everyone

Just to let you know that I should be present with the last 3 black Minimig enclosures remaining from the first batch.

I will also be displaying my own white enclosure and the classic one (beige).

I'll be taking orders for the next batch which should be ready before Christmas.

@RoqueFort

hey there,
if you want to send anything to me that's fine. Just PM me for postage details and some info about it so I can do it some justice. Did you want me to display it so people could see it running? are you looking to place orders or is it a donated raffle prize etc? let me know why you wanted to send it and hopefully I can help.

Cheers

@everyone

Quick update from me:

Only 2 black Minimig enclosures left, which are coming to the show together with my own white and classic (beige), I will take orders for the next batch of white ones.

In the meantime this is the set up from one of the guys who bought the black edition, it looks rather nice I think:

Please PM me an address to send it to ASAP, otherwise I won't be able to get it to you on time. Let me deal with the postage & such. After that I'll think about details to send you.

Yes, please display it on screen if you can. After that, you can do what you like with it; maybe give it away as a prize like you said. Just DON'T try to pass the work off as your own!

Will do my best; see my last post.

Yes, that's how I discovered it/them.

Was in HMV, Norwich, where plus4 lives, looking for the last volume of Thundercats, which they DID have as well, and maybe some more of my favourite cartoons as a kid- Dangermouse, Inspector Gadget & such.

Well, I then spotted The Mysterious Cities of Gold, and nearly fainted. Man, I've waited SO LONG for that! AFAIK it's never been officially released in English before!

Maybe you should bring the MCoG series to MAG bash, so they can put it on before showing my movie, so everyone will understand most of the jokes and spoofs. MCoG is only thirteen hours in total!

in an attempt to publicise this event I've been onto every Amiga forum and yahoo group possible.

I even joined a group on Yahoo! called afb http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/afb/ which is populated by a few decent people and the rest are morons that can't seem to grasp the concept of why we are still enjoying Amigas

If anybody wants to do any preaching then this would be a great place to start. I read their responses to my polite post and felt sorry for them really.

The worst part is that they are using the Amiga Format name to do it with which I'm not too sure if future publish actually endorse.....

plus4 lives in a branch of HMV? Hasn't anyone noticed yet that he refuses to leave when they lock up, or does he hide under the table in the book section? Perhaps we should all club together and get him a box and a blanket, he'll get kicked out eventually.

Chris

Read the replies in the list archive, yes it was a bit sad. I think the main problem you had is that the few who did reply are living in OS3.0 days (never even heard of OS4), and still have the mindset that Amiga either has to conquer the world (i.e. beat Windows) or die.

I think that most people here would accept that Amiga is now a niche system, that's simply fun to use, and that it is silly even thinking about trying to conquer the world/Windows/Linux.
