@Aslak3

Add a simple poll to clean up all the trolls too. I think people around here would like that too.

@Overflow

Agree entirely, as they say someone has to "step up to the plate", this thread has gone beyond the pale.

to my knowledge the moderator in question has not been appointed by community nor does he answer to it. whom has he been appointed by, again?

Then users called a response from site ower regarding the issue, they got one.

At this point it seems the thread is being bumped up cause it entertains keeping that title at top.
Seems to me the moderators have become gunshy and dont want to lock it out of fear of the backlash.

If I ever saw a thread that has run its course, this is it.
Lock it and be done with it.

fully agreed & too obvious isn't it.

Number 6 where's that nice substitute for the emoticon thingy beating the dead horse again as this thread is well past it's due date

Although A-EON currently holds the stewardship of Amiga.org and AmigaWorld.net they are both Amiga community forums and need to be run by the community and for the community which they serve.

kjmann was invited and promoted by the site owner. He's wreaking havoc without any visible consequences from the site owner, the other moderators - who seem to have been ignored by the site owner when installing kjmann - are busy cleaning up after the new guy. None of us understands why he's here or why nobody's doing some damage control.

"Run by the community" indeed.

You'll always get yelled at when running a community site, that's a given. The trick to keep the noise to a minimum (apart from not giving mod status to random bullies you met outside the building) is to be transparent and consistent in what you do - and what's been going on at a.org since the takeover is the exact opposite of that. Threads get locked, postings deleted, news items ignored - without the affected users being informed why it's happening and/or who's doing it. The kjmann debacle is a nice example for this new approach.

Really? What about other poll - ban all "trolls"? Majority rule can become mockery of democracy.

I could welcome that but you would not like results

Who gets to decide who is a troll? I'm Sure my idea is different than yours. As a matter of fact I would nominate a certain mod to be on the list.

@thread

Politics can be discussed in new thread. This thread has run its course and can be closed.

We are OK.

@itix

Well, in that case, please change the topic thread to reflect that. Go back to your original post and put SOLVED at the start.

That would help a lot.
