Recently we have seen a new kind of troll here on AmigaWorld; the Amiga Inc troll.

In true Amiga fashion I think we should welcome this enrichment to our community by giving the new type of troll a colour. We have the red and blue trolls and now you get to choose your favourite colour for the AInc troll! Please tell us why you picked your colour in the topic.

EDIT: Ok you mean,
red = OS4/Hyperion
blue = MOS

EDIT: I changed my mind.., an Amiga Inc troll is either pink or purple since the red Amiga color is already taken...

AI trolls will always be Red. AI owns the red logo and trademarks, they are red. MOS is blue, AROS is black, and Anubis is yellow or gold. Now, we do need a specific color for whiny Hyperion trolls?

No, I count the red troll to be in the OS4/Hyperion camp. So in my opinion red is already taken. Obviously AInc trolls and OS4 trolls don't mix anymore since the court case.

Just so everyone is clear, I consider dividing people into 'camps' to be extremely insulting! (in this case RED vs BLUE, which is something I'm against!)

Years ago, when I spoke out against how Amiga inc was handling the development of OS4 (or in this case mis-handling), I was labelled as a BLUE troll. I also disagree with Hyperion on many issues, but at least they delivered something..

Now after all these years people see the reality of Amiga inc..

What do you think the whole point of this poll is? It's to show that the whole colour/camp thing is silly and that we as a community are unable to stand together and have one goal. At least we can have some fun with a poll like this while we take a look at ourselves in the mirror...

I voted pink myself. I think pink suits the naivity of AInc.

I agree with Pink. Amiga Inc used to be Red, but that was back in the old days when they were perceived as the underdog being pursued by the evil Blue butterfly.

Nowadays their motivation and power have been left to fade away like a red flag left out in the sun. It's faded to a dirty pink with frayed edges.

Anyway, I though AROS was Green?

PS: our new "troll" can't be considered a troll in the same sense as the trolls of old. At least they had the benefit of extensive knowledge of their subject. Our new "troll" seems entirely ignorant of the subject and its history. He's probably only a teenager.

Real people are already putting the color wars behind them and joining together across the platform boundaries, as we saw e.g. in Colmar.

Now, as to color - AInc trolls have always been red, as was pointed out above. The red/blue wars were AInc trolls vs Genesi trolls, not the respective OS trolls. Therefore, the new colors should be applied to OS4 and MorphOS trolls. Because of this, I did not vote.


(*) An IBM 1130 minicomputer, in Fortran. Previously I owned (and still do ) a Hasbro Think-a-tron.
