| Anyone know if the PCI and 2 PCIe ports be used at the same time?
Possibly: PCI graphics card, PCIe audio card and the smaller PCIe SATA controller?
I know there have been issues with other motherboards with using all the ports at the same time _________________ 1 AmigaOne G4XE (OS4 Pre-Release Update4) Minimig Sam440ep + OS4.1FE Sam460cr + OS4.1FE |

Acube uses in A1-500 PCIe x16: GFX card PCIe x1: Sound card PCI: SATA

SAM460EX has on board SATA (same PCIe lane was used for PCIe slot, so mutualy exclusive). |

The PCI-E x16 slot only runs at 4x mode (I believe)

Of course, mechanically x16, electrically x4. |

Think I'm about sorted
4 port SATA interface in the PCI slot, RadeonHD 7xxx in the PCIe x16 with 1 or 2GB onboard memory and if money allows some sort of sound card in the PCIe x1 slot.
Made a start on the list, I have the 4 port SATA card, just the rest of the above plus power supply, case and 2GB ram, think that's about it.
If I have anything wrong or you have other suggestions please let me know. _________________ 1 AmigaOne G4XE (OS4 Pre-Release Update4) Minimig Sam440ep + OS4.1FE Sam460cr + OS4.1FE |

Warp3D now supports Radeon HD 7750 and higher cards, driver for HD 5000/6000 cards (similar chipsets used also in lower 7x00 and Rx 2x0 cards) is still in developement. About RAM, I don´t know, if all modules work, maybe it would be better to buy it directly from ACube. |

It would be nice to see Amiga/Morph benchmarks of how much effect the number of lanes have.
I personally would expect our 3D games to run same speed with x1...x16 PCIe (v1.1). That's because our 3D games so far do not seem so demanding and because our CPUs are pretty slow vs PCIe bandwidth. _________________ - KimmoK // For freedom, for honor, for AMIGA // // Thing that I should find more time for: CC64 - 64bit Community Computer? |

| Do other R9 270x graphics cards work, like an Asus PCIe?

Since the speed at which we can copy vertices to the graphics card is a bottleneck, I'd expect dropping to 1x to lower the performance.

| My Sam460cr is looking more and more populated after cannibalising a laptops for memory and hard drive, a desktop I got for nothing from a company I used to work for gave me a CD drive.
I already had a SATA PCI card.
Just need a case and PCIe graphics card and hopefully I'm ready to install, Maplins or PC World may supply me with those.
Not so sure about the sound card, I know Envy24 works but are there any others?
If there's anything else I'm forgetting please let me know and wish me luck.

Audio is the least of my worries at the moment.
I can boot up to where I can select my boot device and then select boot this configuration but it just goes into uboot.
Personally I think my SATA card is dead but not sure. _________________ 1 AmigaOne G4XE (OS4 Pre-Release Update4) Minimig Sam440ep + OS4.1FE Sam460cr + OS4.1FE |

Got it, just using the wrong port on the card, it is now reading the 4.1fe disc as we speak _________________ 1 AmigaOne G4XE (OS4 Pre-Release Update4) Minimig Sam440ep + OS4.1FE Sam460cr + OS4.1FE |

| Yeah it's now booting from the hard drive, me thinks that's enough for tonight.
Got a bit of tweaking to do such as screen resolution, research on sound cards, getting internet working and tracking down software I want to install.
My new machine should run a little faster than my Sam440ep with its onboard sound and graphics and 512mb memory.
Thanks to all for the assistance you have given. Last edited by 1Mouse on 30-May-2015 at 08:52 PM.

Pavlor, yes, you are right, all slots working at the same time and Pcie slot 1x is mutually exclusive with sata onboard

| Yep getting there, I now have internet and AmiStore install also the RadeonHD v2.4 driver installed.
Just not sure how to get higher screen resolutions. I'm at 1440x900 but I'm sure I can get a higher resolution.
