Hi,

Just picture the scene, I was chatting with the other half this evening and I said, "I fancy a run". After some conversation we argued that I could/could not run the circumference of Lowestoft (Suffolk's 2nd biggest town).

So convinced, she bet me a fiver and even asked my mate if he thought I could do it. Both of them laughed at me and although I was not 100% sure, the more people say I cannot do something the more I will try.

I am an IT technician and do no physical exercise at all, yet this evening I completed my lap of the town, all 7.5 miles in 1h 21m. Slow by any runner's standard, but not bad for the first (and last) attempt.

My point? When someone tries to put your efforts down, turn that negative energy around to prove them wrong!

Keep up the good work, all who are working on next generation Amiga hardware and software.

It did wonders for the Beatles.

I can indeed confirm that Mr A1200 ran round like dwayne dibley in the small hours of the morning. A whole 7.5 miles!

I also went with him on his marathon, but i had the common sence to take the car!

His progress was monitored via a step meter, and by me hiding at various points along the route, as well as the towns police, CCTV operators, and the assorted drug dealers who happened to be out at that time of night as well.

I can also now release that he consumed two bottles of water, 1 cup of tea (post run) and a cornish pasty from the local 24 hr BP station.

I can also confirm that he did this amazing run after shagging his bird for a couple of hours (could have been mins as this was not specified).

Iam now accepting sponsorship donations for his next amazing feat, all money goes to goes to me for looking after his safety and not running him over.

He also will be making a guest appearance at this years Big Bash, where he will be signing autographs.

@JurassicC

It's not bumping into the Darkness in Lowestoft that you have to worry about, it what you'll bump into in the dark...

Lowestoft was bad enough the many times I went there in the daylight...

to the madhouse Ollie

actually it took him a day the rest of the time was used to reduce the level of nagging from the woman to a level where the bloke can ignore, just imagine the level it was at first
