Announcement   Announcement : Hyperion Entertainment - AmigaOS4 News
   posted by Mikey_C on 13-May-2004 20:01:00 (13495 reads)
Leuven, Belgium - May 13 2004.

After consultation with our German CD production partner, House of Audio, Hyperion Entertainment is pleased to announce that the Developer Pre-Release of AmigaOS 4.0 is now tentatively scheduled for May 21th, 2004.

The AmigaOS 4.0 CD will be distributed through your AmigaOne dealer.

(Edited for clarity)
From Rogue:
We are expecting to get the CD's on monday or tuesday (note: expecting. It depends on things like the german postal services to work as expected, the CD's actually shipping to us etc).

Is that "scheduled" as in "released" or "scheduled" as in "going to be distributed".

Or, to put it in words that actually make some kind of sense, does this mean the CDs are reaching Hyperion on the 21st, being sent to the dealers on the 21st or reaching end users on the 21st?

(and, of course, I've noted that that is "21st" as in "if it's done" )

[and as this looked dull and unenthusiastic]

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!

We are not worthy!
We are not worthy!

Chris

Excellent news,

Overheard at AmigaOne Productions Offices:

Mr Gates, your fired, you've got a months notice, please meet your replacement, Mr Frieden (no you're not seeing double, that's his brother ), don't bother showing him the ropes, he can already do a better job than you can.

I just had a sudden urge to break in to a duplication plant, but the good will towards other Amigans took over.

Thanks!

Developers, start your compilers! [vroom! vroom!]
Who will be the first to code that 'killer app' and take the title?

The House of Audio?

Don't tell me they are releasing the "Behind the scenes" of Annex.

Oh well, you all should learn a new language and become translator for ATO. Then you would have had a Beta by now. I bet there are still a lot of unsupported languages.

Anywayzzz, time for me to iron my shirt and get ready for the wedding of my sister, instead of installing OS4 on my new shiny Seagate HD. Life isn't fair.

But a big for Hyperion and for all of you that are still here. Hopefully it will be even slightly more when the world knows the Beta of OS4 is here.

Normally yes, but I still have to rely on Mr Gates to do his job (albeit badly and should be sacked immediately due to gross misconduct) until Mr Frieden arrives

The AmigaOS 4.0 CD will be distributed through your AmigaOne dealer.

... I have a dealer ... and he's distributing ... where is my dealer ... I've checked the lounge, no sign there, has he gone 4AP? No running water up there... maybe he's in the guestroom resting... no, the guestroom is empty (and scruffy PAUL!).

So, where did my dealer go, I never let him in, I'm sure he does not have a key, maybe he's invisible... that's it GOT IT, he's invisible... he's waiting to see my cash (or is that cache), if my dealer is reading over my shoulder, please please please
