| OMG... Fantastic News... 1) We got Java (JAmiga) last week 2) We got Flash few months ago 3) Now we have FireFox (Timberwolf)
Anybody doing a port of Silverlight (Moonlight)??? Perhaps another bounty! http://www.mono-project.com/Moonlight A lot of people would need this for NetFlix and other websites.
---SPEED--- On a 733Mhz Amiga SAM Flex, the speed is about as fast as AmigaCygnix. I can use AmigaWorld, and edited this message.
---BUGS---- 1) Drop down lists have a bug where you have click and hold the mouse then it renders but the positioning of the items is off by about 100px. Using the scroll / arrow keys works better with the drop down lists. 2) Menu items are more usable from the keyboard then from the mouse.
---VERDICT--- We did it, or more accurately the developers did it... Last edited by meet.mrnrg on 09-Jun-2010 at 04:40 PM. Last edited by meet.mrnrg on 09-Jun-2010 at 04:36 PM.

| Good news. How is the performance on the lower end Sam boards anyways? The PSU in my pc blew up a few days ago, so sadly had to steal the one i used for my Sam. |

| Impressive!
It works way over my expectations on my A1/800. As fast or faster than OWB I'd say. Starts slower though and eats tons of memory.
The redraw issue is painfully obvious at some sites but hardly noticeable at other. Had problems selecting stuff in drop-down boxes though since mouse/menues doesn't work very well.
If this is the start then the future could be anything!!! _________________ - Don't get fooled by my avatar, I'm not like that (anymore, mostly... maybe only sometimes) > Amiga Classic and OS4 developer for OnyxSoft.

| Somebody should let that former Netscape fellow know his browser finally runs native on AmigaOS...

Have been using the Alpha-Alpha version for a while. This Alpha version so much better. Well done the F. Brothers,

Don't want to lower your enthusiasm but your statements are not quite true.

1) we do not have Java but a pre-pre-early-begining of a port 2) we still do not have a WORKING Flash solution (compared to Windows or OSX) 3) You are almost right, we have a working alpha version |

| I'd heard some horror stories about how slow this would run so I have been pleasantly surprised. Especially as the Friedens have said this will be improved upon.
Running this on a SamEP 667
Many thanks to the brothers.

| @tiredoflife Indeed I've heard them too, but even at this alpha stage it is not the case can't wait for future updates!
P.S. Wow, I've been able to use "my recent hystory" on Amazon, some how it never worked on OWB, I get that spinning circle well...spinning!(forever, it never loads and this from versions 3.16 to 3.28, the ones I used). _________________ SamFlex Complete 800Mhz System + AmigaOS 4.1 Update 4 Amiga 2000 DKB 2MB ChipRam GVP G-Force040 Picasso 2 OS3.9 BB2 AmigaCD 32

See posts elsewhere in the forum and not the new section.
1) We do have Flash - not the latest and greatest and it has its own bugs and runtime issues 2) We do have Java - not the latest and greatest and it has its own bugs and runtime issues
These early version are break-troughs for the Amiga. Later versions will be more stable and feature packed but not as interesting or evolutionary as the first Amiga native versions. _________________ Quote:
