A-EON Technology Ltd is pleased to announce that it has concluded the purchase of the source code and exclusive rights to develop, publish and distribute MED, OctaMED and OctaMED SoundStudio for the AmigaOS and Amiga-inspired operating systems, including MorphOS, AROS and emulation from the current owner Ray Burt Frost. As part of the sale agreement A-EON has the exclusive right to use the MED, OctaMED and OctaMED SoundStudio in all product marketing, promotion and branding for AmigaOS and Next-Generation AmigaOS inspired versions including emulation.

That's a good point. It's likely the re-player code will be in assembler so that will need a lot of work to port to C, Apart from that it will be a hardware banger and so porting this to AHI will be even more work. Having already done the later the MED code does some weird and buggy things to the hardware registers so probably the best thing at this point would to take an existing portable MED player and integrate it into the main code. Even if it's not the genuine player code.

No development no progress, this good that this will end up developers hands again.

I hope Octamed player will updated as well, and as Amiga developer myself I hope some library or something is created so it be easy to play med music from games or programs (hem maybe there is I have looked).

That's great news!

I decided to lauch my old copy of OctaMED pro 4.0 via RuninUAE and was pleased to see that it ran fine

I had forgotten what a great program this is!
