In what seems to be a Christmas tradition, the SimpleMail team has released an update to their excellent Amiga mailer. From their announcement:
Quote:
The Final Edition of SimpleMail on SourceForge has been released! Version 0.41 comes with following changes:
* Added some server certificate checks including the possibility to manually specify the fingerprints of the remote servers * For AmigaOS 4.x, a version statically linked against OpenSSL will be temporarily provided, at least until AmiSSL has been updated. For this version, OpenSSL 1.0.1j is used. * Some development infrastructure changes have been undertaken including the move of the source code repository from SourceForge to GitHub (https://github.com/sba1/simplemail)
The SimpleMail Team wishes you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year 2014! |
You can download updated versions for both AOS3 (link) and AOS4 (link with openssl, link without openssl). Doesn't look like a big update, but still worth it to grab the latest build. Enjoy!

Updated BootFloppy for Amiga 3000 computers available |
| Amigaworld.net News posted by Cyborg on 24-Dec-2014 12:58:42 (3326 reads) |
Brussels, December 24, 2014
Much to Hyperion Entertainments regret it was noticed that the bootfloppy originally shipped with AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition for Amiga 1200, 3000 and 4000 computers contains a defective KickLayout file, which makes it impossible to boot on an Amiga 3000 computer. In order to remedy this situation, registered customers of AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition for classic Amiga computers may download an updated bootfloppy as ADF image from the download area.
Alternatively, experienced users may follow the manual instructions on the Hyperion support forum.
Hyperion Entertainment apologises for any inconvenience caused by this and wishes a merry christmas to all its customers!

AISS is a pool of toolbar images, graphical templates and other useful artwork for Amiga applications.
The new release features more than 5,000 images in the AmigaOS icon design and for compatibility reasons all pictures and animations of the previous releases.
