Hardware News   Thylacine USB supported by NetBSD
Hardware News posted by strim on 5-May-2013 18:11:39 (1602 reads)
NetBSD now includes Zorro attachment code to existing slhci(4) driver. This means that Thylacine USB is now (kinda sorta) supported. Keyboards and mice work reliably with wscons-based kernel.

Here's dmesg from A4000 with Thylacine installed.

Amigaworld.net News   Cinnamon Writer 0.9 is released
Amigaworld.net News posted by Desler on 5-May-2013 9:29:20 (5806 reads)
Cinnamon Writer is now available for AmigaOS4 and MorphOS computers, with an AROS version in the pipeline.
Cinnamon Writer is a native WYSIWYG word processor developed especially for Amiga and Amiga-like systems. It features advanced layout options, spell checking, advanced undo/redo options, restoring of lost documents and DocX compatibility, allowing for compatibility with mainstream word processors of other platforms.
The biggest news of this version is the complete rewrite of the GUI system taking advantage of the MUI interface. Other improvements include a new memory and indexing system allowing you to work on very big documents on machines with only little memory. A restoring system will back up your document every 5 minutes, and if you experience a crash or inadvertently power off your Amiga before saving, Cinnamon Writer will restore your last session. software OS4    StormC5 editor released
software OS4 posted by AmigaPapst on 5-May-2013 8:18:42 (2276 reads)
Wehrheim, Germany, May 5th, 2013.

We are happy to present the first component of the StormC5 IDE, StormC5ED. In the tradition of the previous versions, we placed high values on the development of StormC5ED ensuring the popular Amiga look-and-feel. We set high priorities on high speed and modern editor functionalities. Due to the intensive use of operating system functions of AmigaOS 4.1, StormC5ED is available exclusively for the new Amiga operating system and will be further aligned towards it in the future. We would like to point out that much of the proceeds of the StormC5 editor will be incorporated into the future development of the StormC5 environment.

Join now, in a new kind of editing on AmigaOS 4.x! (Please click read more.)
