Exactly ten years ago today, Hollywood 1.0 was shipped to the first customers. Since then the software has grown to one of the largest Amiga programs and is now available for all major systems including the mobile platform Android. To celebrate the success story of Hollywood, version 5.2 has been released today for all existing customers of Hollywood. Audacious is a free advanced audio player for Linux and many other UNIX-compatible systems. It focuses on low resource usage, high audio quality, and support for a wide range of audio formats. It was originally based on Beep Media Player, which was in turn based on XMMS.

New version 1.2 of AmiCygnix released |

The two base packages "AmiCygnix-Base" and "AmiCygnix-Tools" are now available in the version 1.2. In the main part it is a bugfix release, which fixes some nasty bugs. New program packages will depend on this version.

The popular AROS distribution Icaros Desktop has recently announced its incoming version 1.5, which will include a better integration system for classic 68K applications, a faster installation procedure and many others improvements which haven't been unveiled yet. While Icaros Desktop 1.5 will be released "in some weeks", the site www.icarosdesktop.org got its major overhaul in three years, completely changing face.
