| The second AmiCon Party of 2008 took place last weekend in Pomaz, Hungary (near Budapest). The event, which started out originally as a small gathering of local AmigaOne owners has grown in popularity throughout the years. It has a really nice retro atmosphere, where people from all favours of Amiga and Amiga-like systems share their common interests and experiences.

There are a set of scripts on OS4 Depot here: WB2Front which bring a poor man's 'Desktop to Front' function to OS4.
The scripts also work with OS3.

We would like to wish all AmigaOS 4 users a very nice St. Nicholas day and we want to treat you this day with the freeware tool called AmiArc. This is a tool for packing and unpacking archives for AmigaOS 4.x. If you have suggestions for improvements then we'll hope that you send us a mail.

| When Amiga events were more frequent and lots of people attended, it was a pleasure to meet in person. As software developers, we could better understand what features we should work on, and our users could often better appreciate the challenges we faced ourselves. At the end, we would both learn and make new friends.
