Software News   MindSpace Competition
Software News posted by yoodoo2 on 25-Jun-2006 13:47:11 (3835 reads)
MindSpace 1.0 for Amiga OS4 will be released on 29 July 2006 on CD and as a downloadable archive. With a bit of luck and a following wind, a 68k version for OS3.x will be included. To fill up some of the spare 640MB on the CD, we would like to include loads of example .mso files from beta-testers and other users of the development versions of MindSpace.

The new look website has so much more to offer now. New writers, Free games to play, a daily crossword, 15 themes to choose from and thats just the start!

Coming next week, in the new look magazine we have (drumroll) Amiga articles! (/drumroll) and in coming issues we bring you EXCLUSIVE programs to use on your Amiga (more on that later)

Software News   new version of AROS-PPC released
Software News posted by TrebleSix on 22-Jun-2006 9:35:40 (3232 reads)
The AROS team posted its latest monthly update.
Foremost, a new version of the hosted AROS-PPC has been released:
This release depends on glibc 2.3.2 or newer. You need to give AROS some more RAM than the default allocation of 16 MB (leaves about 4 MB for applications). Start it using: ./aros -m 64 This will allocate 64 MB. As with all X11 hosted AROS versions you need to add Option "BackingStore" to the Device section of xorg.conf.
The other news is that the website has been translated to German.
