Issue 37 of the Crypt now out |
| Announcement posted by Zola on 26-Sep-2004 8:32:02 (1752 reads) |
Issue 37 - Death in Dallas is ready for you to read.
We have our usual blend of articles, Jokes,Cartoons, Computing Help. We even tell you how to convert your old VHS tape to DVD using your PC.
Our themed page this issue deals with the assassination of John F Kennedy. Was it a plot? Did Lee Harvey Oswald fire the shots? Was there more than one gunman? And did Jack Ruby shoot Oswald to maintain his silence. We try to provide the answers.
Plus don`t forget to have your say on our NEW forum.

Main AmiNet Site Gone, Possibly For Good |
| Internet News posted by OSS542 on 26-Sep-2004 1:08:41 (6224 reads) |
It looks like the main AmiNet site is gone, perhaps for good now. Many if not all the other US sites also appear to be gone, and perhaps two or three sites (uk, se, cz) in the official aminet site list mirrored at the European site list. It's not looking promising here.....can we as a community do anything about this "AmiNet rot" ?
Staff Note: It is not clear yet which of the "old archives" will be allowed to remain once the new drives are in place.

| TAMPERE, FINLAND - September 25th, 2004 - Why guess, listen to rumours, compare months old public releases and continue speculating online? Why not participate in a friendly duel and come see the state of the art for yourself! Finnish Amiga Users Group is pleased to demonstrate the best of the both worlds at its annual meeting this coming Saturday: AmigaOne running a new AmigaOS 4.0 beta and Pegasos II running MorphOS 1.5 beta.

| Software News posted by Toaks on 23-Sep-2004 12:01:45 (8105 reads) |
As Amiga Flame reports this wonderfull 3d flight simulation is beeing considered ported to Amiga:
"In the AmigaOS forum, Steven Dobbs described how he had stuck with the Amiga platform until 1999 and that even now he still remembers the platform fondly. Although, Jet Thunder won't be in beta until 2005 and technical problems may prevent a conversion, Steven Dobbs with some help may bring this jet combat simulator to the AmigaOne."
