Well I'd like to know if he has a roadmap for Amiga OS. (A realistic one not the old AInc one)

If so when will he make it public via a website or something.

Also how closely is he working with Hyperion?

I'd like to ask him if he's heard of the "Amiga Phantasy" case, and it would be cool if someone made an 8.5 * 11 landscape laser output of it to show him, and ask if he could do something about it!!!!! (Something more than fold it into a paper aeroplane!)


An aside, also, maybe a 6 in 1 card reader config. could be put into the left side, and a second CF slot too, would be nice.


The other thing would be, how soon to expect an AmigaOne motherboard with a faster CPU and DDR on it, too.

Since you brought it up, I'd like to ask him:

* Why Bill McEwen stated that AmigaOS was an Amiga, Inc. asset in court depositions several months after it was sold to Itek and then KMOS.

* Why Fleecy Moss continued to refer to AmigaOS as if it were still owned by Amiga, Inc. for months after it was sold.

* What threat to AmigaOS (presumeably from Genesi), which he referred to in his interview, existed prior to April 2003, that was so severe as to cause Itek and then KMOS to purchase AmigaOS away from Amiga, Inc. (Keep in mind that this is the not the winter of 2004 we're talking about, when Genesi made statements about expanding the scope of the court decision from AmigaDE to include AmigaOS as well, but the spring of 2003, when the sale that didn't become public until 11 months later was said to have taken place.)

* Why KMOS or Itek or the concerned investors in some form didn't speak up or otherwise lend assistance when Amiga, Inc. lost their legal representation during the protracted court struggle with Genesi?

* Why he (Mr. Hare) referred to AmigaOS as "multiplatform" in his interview.

* What specific features of AmigaOS convinced KMOS that purchasing AmigaOS was the right move for his targetted market.

* What specific features of AmigaOS give the platform an advantage over the competition in his target markets.

* If there is any reason to expect a flow of funds or other resources or benefits between KMOS (made possible by earnings from telecommunications market products) and Hyperion's desktop AmigaOS product development.

Well, this is off the top of my head. If I reread the interview or looked back at the sequence of events again, I imagine more ideas would come. These might not be the kinds of questions you had in mind, but in my opinion they would lead to much more interesting answers, if he actually answered them honestly, than the marketing fluff he's apt to deliver instead.

Now that AmigaOS 4 is about to be released, what about releasing for free kickstart 1.3 (which is now about 16 years old) ?

Apple already released MacOS 7.x for free,
Amstrad also released CP/M rom for free,
...

=> I think that releasing Rom 1.3 for free would create good will in the Emulation community and could have a positive impact on KMOS/Amiga...

Have you hugged a Hyperion programmer today?

By the way, I think by multiplatform he means that it supports various types of devices. He also mentioned in said interview something along the lines of the implementation for the product his company was interested didn't need to support multiple processors. I think he said that at least indirectly, sorry don't have time to search....

Think about it, even major game consoles, wich are getting to be more and more convergence devices, are all turning to PPC.

My question for Mr. Hare would be the following:

What sort of applications would he like to see developed for AOS4 that will help in his overall plan for the future of our platform? Which ones would be most important? He did mention educational software, but I would really like to know where our resources should be focused.
