| @BigD The sit6uation with TABOR is simple. It doesn't have a license to be sold. The license for TABOR expired in 2019 and as I write this has apparently not been renewed. Until this issue has been dealt with, any further discussion about TABOR is moot.
Amigaone is a brand name owned by Hyperion. A-EON abandoned the use of it some time ago. The next AMIGAONE computer will be the SAM 460.
I would suspect that all PPC hardware development at A-EON has stopped some time ago. Software development, by both the AMIGA DEVELOPMENT TEAM and TEAM CORE LINUX is continuing for the present. |

It is also my understanding that development of the A1222 Plus is finished but that doesn't stop AmigaKit being unable to launch the bloody thing! Crazy! If it's THIS hard it should just be cancelled especially since pushing hardware killed Eyetech AmigaKit's predecessor!_________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." You only read part of my post. There is no license at present to allow him to launch the computer. |

Well since Matthew is not selling ANY Hyperion products and has to all intensive purposes cut relations with Hyperion, if you're right it should just be cancelled and the Early Adopters refunded! I think he could release it if he could source enough chips which he can't seem to! The could also just call it the A1222 Plus without the AmigaOne brand. He might also be trying to release it with Systrm 54 standalone but that would lead to massive delays and sink the project in my view. Sad.... _________________ "Art challenges technology. I don't know what kind of deal Mathew made with the early adopters. I don't see them making a lot of posts demanding refunds. Even if he dropped the Amigaone brand he still couldn't ship it, because he still needs an OEM license. Without that the project is essentially frozen.
Everybody who has been involved with both projects tell me there is absolutely no connection between V54 and TABOR.

Well again it should be cancelled as there is now NO relationship between Hyperion and AmigaKit and hence it's a case of adapting and using System 54 or never releasing the A1222 Plus! But I forget that in AmigaWorld the Tabor WAS released already because beta prototype boards ARE real products here!!
The fanatics think we missed the Tabor boat but IMHO there was an illusion of a boat peddled at Amiga shows but that design is now obsolete and can't be manufactured anymore like an Iranian F-14 but far less potent in its heyday! AFAIK the early adopters have received their "AAA box", containing Personal Paint (68K), ImageFX (68K) and some other goodies. And while the box arguably wasn't worth the 100 pounds, I believe the reason why no refunds are being asked for is that at least something has been provided in return for the money._________________ The Rear Window blog

So the brand [AmigaOne] has taken on the form of a wave function. Nice._________________ All the way, with 68k |

They can sell the system with Linux... no, wait.
They can sell it without an OS, and put a voucher in the box for a free copy of AmigaOS 4.2. _________________ All the way, with 68k |

| @Trixie Thank you for clearing that up. I knew they got something but what I wasn't sure. I believe that at that time Mathew and Trevor believed that Tabor would ship shortly. I've been given to understand that some relatively minor hardwar5e glitches are holding up the shipment.
Myopinion is that to ship this machine now would be the height of foot.

| @agami They can't even do that. Trevor in his interview with Amiga-news this winter firmly stated that it will ship withOS4.1FE update 2. In my opinion, to ship this device as is, is the height of insanity
