You do if it's got a great big bloated OS running in the background. eg. PPC Mac OSX 1.5Ghz is hopeless._________________ OS4 Rocks X1000 beta tester, Sam440 Flex (733)

My PPC Mac OSX machine made a great sound editing machine just as an Intel Core2Duo and higher Mac computer makes a good video editor. Also, a G4 PPC Mac with 933Mhz emulated Settlers 2 on 68k Mac just fine. Last edited by BigD on 15-Jul-2016 at 10:52 PM.

| Hi All,
Thanks for the feedback as always!
I made a error in the SMTube blog post about the process for installing ffmpeg and forgot to include the unpack section of the process. I have updated the post to reflect this! Thanks to MickJT for pointing this out. Sorry about that!

*update* - glad to hear QT development on AmigaOS 4.1 is still alive.
@all
I have written a new blog post this weekend looking at a non-working Amiga 500 I received this weekend, fixing it and the first stage of upgrades.
Link is here:

I hope you enjoy it!

Emulating mac versions on a mac is totally different to emulating amiga software on a mac, like the differnce of using petunia and runinuae on os4. install uae on your ppc mac and it will crawl._________________ OS4 Rocks X1000 beta tester, Sam440 Flex (733)

| @all, @Epsilon Just to clear-up misunderstandings, alfkil has NOT sold his X1000: http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum/viewtopic.php?post_id=102820#forumpost102820
I'm surprised to see that tommysammy edited his incorrect post (which used to claim that "he [alfkil] sold his X1000"), but did not post a correction to clear-up the misinformation. Last edited by ChrisH on 18-Jul-2016 at 04:31 PM. Last edited by ChrisH on 18-Jul-2016 at 04:31 PM.

| Looks like a fun meeting. If only we had more of this stuff in Melbourne.
Also, good on the young fella who won the contest. Fresh blood is always good for our retro niche. I wonder how he ended up there though? Probably his dad dragged him along. :) |

Yours is one of the better presentations of a show. Thank you for putting words to the pictures and keeping the flow varied. _________________ ..effects of civilization upon...nature, the growing gap between what education was supposed to accomplish and what it consisted of, the national debt and...high taxes, the problem of the excess cost of medical care -- Philip Wylie, 1951 |
