Someone even semt me private messages saying nothing but that!

I can't open that link, it crashes my browser and my computer.
Are you trying, friend DiscreetFX, to send MEGA_RJ_MICAL a virus?

That would be not very nice.

Not at all, it’s a link to AmigaKit’s website and a ZORRAM A2000 ZORRO II MEMORY EXPANSION.

My AMIAntiVirus, coded in AmiDark's DarkBasic, says
"DEADLY VIRUS CLOSE THIS WEBSITE IMMEDIATELY".

I am hence going to report you to the appropriate authorities, while of course also clicking the report button here on Amigaworld, so that DAVID DOYLE might lay his eyes on you and brand you with the uncleansable mark of "ABUSE REPORT".

I wouldn't bother as it hasn't worked for quite some time! I would know as some of your posts have been downright awful!

P.S. If Hyperion and Cloanto are acting like petulant children then a discussion about where that selfishness comes from is totally ON topic.

@Thread

If you've ever had children you'd know that they don't need to be taught to be selfish or to believe that the world revolves around them. As PhantomInterrogative has indicated the fruit of parents not teaching children that they have to consider others and that they are not the centre of the world is all manner of evil acts and wasted lives.

Quote:
And He said to him, “ ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ 38“This is the great and foremost commandment. 39“The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR AS YOURSELF.’ 40“On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

Matthew 22:37-39

You can't love God with ALL your heart and truly love your neighbour as yourself and remain selfish and self centred. If I didn't share any of these Biblical truths and kept them to myself then I would be self serving too!

In addition, a love of the Amiga doesn't equate to a love of conjecture about legal proceedings and the litigation of the Amiga parties but we often discus that here. The origin of selfishness is a FAR more interesting side note than all this legal rubbish IMHO!

In any case, the delays with Tabor were not related to it. BTW you could have preordered it if you wanted like others did.

I wouldn't know what I'd have been buying to be honest as there are still no videos of a working sound driver and no confirmation from Trevor that they ever got it working! It is vapourware to me until it's complete as a fully functional home computer with a bundled case chosen etc. AmigaKit especially are risking a lot with the Tabor project IMHO and I don't want them to go the same way as Eyetech with the Teron/Mai Logic AmigaOne project.

P.S. @AmigaKit

Any idea whether the Rapid Road can be used with the Prisma Megamix Clock Port in Zorro mode? A question that is now nearly as old as the A1222 project!

Please show that selfishness even exists in this case. Is Hyperion and/or the new Amiga Corporation being selfish? How should Amiga proceeds and decisions be shared? 50% Hyperion 50% Amiga Corp because equal is fair? Hyperion probably feels like they have contributed for years to AmigaOS so they deserve a larger share. Amiga Corp has spent significant cash on gathering up the IP and probably believes this has more value as a license is required for AmigaOS and Amiga branding. Perhaps shares should be divided by who has the most to lose? Hyperion clearly has the most to lose as losing their Amiga license could result in them losing AmigaOS 4 development and distribution rights and owing all their profits from AmigaOS 3.1.4 to Amiga Corp as well. Perhaps shares should be divided based on how likely the court case is to be decided for each side. Hyperion has more legal experience and a history of legal wins so they must believe they have a good shot at winning in court but their success can bring overconfidence and while judges are generally more predictable than juries, they have some legal freedom which they are more likely to use if they see shenanigans involved. You have to decide what is fair before you can decide what is selfish. So what is fair in your opinion?

There is good logic not to share sometimes. A child who has gone without food or other necessities is likely more reluctant to share than one who has had everything given to them and expects more. Receiving, especially expecting to receive, can be more of a problem than not sharing. I will even argue that more harm has been done on the sharing end, especially forced sharing by socialist/communist governments.

Quote:

His research shows that the death toll from democide is far greater than the death toll from war. After studying over 8,000 reports of government-caused deaths, Rummel estimates that there have been 262 million victims of democide in the last century. According to his figures, six times as many people have died from the actions of people working for governments than have died in battle.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democide

Much of this harm came from Mao and Stalin who are often considered heroes in China and Russia. So how many "evil acts and wasted lives" have been caused by not sharing? Do you give all your money to the poor to do your part? Isn't it selfish to keep money when there is someone who needs it more than you?

I thought of these commandments with all the talk about old law and sin, before you mentioned it. There are several variations of these commandments. Perhaps a modern translation could be "Love the Lord as a friend. Love your neighbor as a friend."

How about we not call Michael Battilana a sinner for hoarding the money to put Amiga back together again? While some people are corrupted by wealth, others can use it for more good than giving it away in small amounts. A sin for one man may be another doing good. This is why we should be careful when calling others sinners and classifying everything as good or evil.

Friend matthey,

Hyperion never had any license to develop and distribute.
Hyperion was employed by A.Inc as a mere vendor, with a contract to port AmigaOS to PPC.

Once A.Inc went bankrupt, they kept AmigaOS sources and didn't even claim ownership to them, they just took it for granted.

May God Almighty, lord of the lands and seas and heavens smite them with numerous plagues that make COVID19 pale!

I'm no expert on the matter, but that's understanding of the situation. I think a lot of people just *wish* things were otherwise.

The show starts Feb. 2021 (or thereabouts), and I'll be on the front row with popcorn and a large soda.

Of course not.
A Inc hire Hyperion to port AmigaOS to PPC.
AInc don't pay for work so AInc loose Amiga Os 4.
It is ok.
AInc never want to pay but this time AInc started with someone smarted than they.
AInc got what it deserved.
It is also ok.

It is very simple. All should return to 2009 Agreement.
Hyperion has Amiga Os, Amiga Inc derivative may use original Amiga Os 3.1 only for games
as long as Amiga OS gui is not presented to user.

Mr batalia was too stupid and waste money on AInc? It is his problem.

Friend ppcamiga1,

your idea of the law seems to come straight from some Donald Duck comic book.

You might want to experience the real world one of these days.
It's an interesting place.

Is pretty simple, you ask some to build you a house, instead of paying for the work, you move in say the house is yours, is the house yours? Or is there something missing in this transaction?

Dear freind MJ,

is this truely true?

I think what will be the truth -at the end- that truth we will all be forced to historically accept, the same way as the world accepts that Apple was the one and solely innovator of the computer industry, is the trutch the judge will decide (if the parties won't come to an agreement by themselves) tu be true.

I have not read the contract, and as with most contracts from the past and present and some couple more in the future, paragraphs in them are open to interpretation, partially due to the ehm.. perfection of the language.

Quote:

Once A.Inc went bankrupt, they kept AmigaOS sources and didn't even claim ownership to them, they just took it for granted.

This is open to interpretation too.. Unless your godly highness knows what was going on in Ben Hermann's head and of other responsables at Hyperion back then! ;)

Quote:

May God Almighty, lord of the lands and seas and heavens smite them with numerous plagues that make COVID19 pale!

Leave yourself out of this, unless you want us all to get involved in your squabbles with Big Dee!
And besides you mentioning yourself here, the statement and wish you give here, is very, very, very poor. Regardless of what harm the collective yourself and us as community (or should I say some of us) might think Hyperion did to the Amiga.

I expected much more class from you!
