@all

This is simply an announcement about Amiga items for sale. If you are not interested in buying, then there is no need to say anything bad, just move along. Regardless of your personal differences, they are providing hard to find services for Amiga users in the US.

Companies thats main representatives have taken aggressive partisan positions
over the last two years are going to find it tough going in the market they chose against.

You reap what you sow.

OTOH biting ones nose off to spite ones face is very Daniella Westbrook.

The level of immaturity exhibited by some of you is disdainful. :( I guess this is what you get for supporting the amiga for over 10 years. I wish you guys knew how hard it is to support this market on not move on....

@DaveP.. I only tell the truth and facts as I know them to be. I'm not a cheerleader. I'm realistic. We also Suppport the Amiga One and OS4 (as I've always stated)

Why does it have to be this way? The sooner you all wake up that there should be no war the better it will be for the whole AMiga community. You dont see this kind of hostility on Morphzone.

@herewegoagain: thanks for your positive message

I would say this has all been "relatively" good-natured considering the (recent) past history of 'certain' individuals.

@realize

Im not going to call you out on past comments and indicate whether or not I think you are a cheerleader or a realistic. That would be pointless, rude and insensitive. Im not here to fight. Much.

However, you have to accept ( because its true ) that a lot of your more aggressive anti-AmigaOS4,Hyperion,Eyetech,Amiga Inc,KMOS and "anti-BAF" comments written on MorphZone, AmigaWorld, Amiga.org and ANN have angered and upset and perhaps alienated a lot of people who otherwise would be willing to support yet-another-Amiga related business.

People vote with their wallets.

If I were in your position, I would be busy mending fences with 50% of your customer base and thinking "hey, I probably wouldn't phrase those comments in quite that way next time".

Thats a FACT

Dave.

well, the war IS over.....we just have to clean up the mess left by certain, er, persons.
anyway, I'm not going to torture anyone here. And certainly not a fellow amiga user. no matter what the past comments were, it's all water under the bridge now.

I love to tease people (in good fun), but maybe we need to wait until some of the wounds have healed first.

enjoy the holidays, folks!

DaveP

I know you have some sort of personal vendetta against me for telling facts about things when ppl here were glossing them over (i.e dma issues and such)

I NEVER was ANTI OS4 or Hyperion - go back and re-read the congratulations posts I've made to them - and yes, sometimes critical but thats called HONEST.
Yes, I have been critical of MAI and the A1 technology, like any "geek" or techno person would be. Dont forget I've had the privledge of being on the 'inside' of alot of the beta and test items from MOS and OS4 as well as the Pegasos and Amiga one technology, so i'm not just making things up.

I am a caring AMIGA person. Thats all that matters. (thanks Cecilia for the post)

I WILL say I have made many Anti Amiga statements and look where Ainc is now.. I still say what has KMOS done? what is wrong with asking these things? I thought this was the free world?

In addition, I support Eyetech, an excellent Amiga supporting company and have hung out with Alan R, who I have upmost respect for.

I remember when this site was an AMIGA site and then transformed into some kind of A1/OS4 support site... which is fine but the level of BASHING is really bad. The funny thing is you dont catch Hyperion Bashing anyone, just over zealous users.

PS My customer base is happy with the services we provide. In this day and age when a company supports Amiga in ANY way you should SUPPORT them not post childish and insulting comments. For example this very news item where we post deals for Classic Hardware and provide a service of repair to the community and mention SUPPORT FOR A1.

@realize

I know you feel 'slighted' by the response to your orginal post (which is certainly understandable), but you've been somewhat less than 'friendly' in the past (especially on 'other' boards) -- and your tone now isn't exactly a mea culpa.

Don't hold someone else to a higher standard than you hold yourself to.

------------
I think Cecilia had the best advice -- we ARE all one big community, but we need to let the wounds heal . . .

Let's just say that at times you have come across to people as a bit of a misplaced MorphOS/Pegasos advocate and pro-Genesi "cheerleader", if you prefer to use this term.

I'm realistic.

I believe this has been your main problem. You have often claimed to provide "the facts" when you were merely stating your personal opinions. You did not accept other points of view and maybe it was a coincidence these opinions always seemed to be the Genesi perspective.

However having said that, I wish you the best of luck. I guess it's far more important you would have a good track record regarding your dealings. IMO the Amiga community does not have the luxury to stay disgruntled.

I visited the site and it looks pretty good. It does have a Pegasos flare to it and that really doesn't bother me even though I am a strong supporter of the AmigaOne. I have to admit though that the only thing that I found disturbing is the following statement on the home page of the site as follows:

Quote:
The Pegasos being an Open Firmware PPC Motherboard by Genesi, inc. This is one of the only non Apple PowerPc motherboard designs in production.

Is this an update issue or do you not consider the A1 as a production board?

Anyway, your site on the whole is fine. I would just change the statement to include the A1 so people can see that as an option too as you really don't have a clue that you sell A1's looking at the home page. The only other problem that I saw was that I did not see where you could order an A1 board on the site, Oh yea, and a Flyer(always wanted one). Please take this as constructive criticism and not as bashing. I do wish you and your business well.
