| andreasM:well do u have a morphos developer ? ..should be easy to make it system friendly anyway (ahi / cgx/p96) . (if you have a morphos dev that is)
other than that, its a fine day for classic amiga gameing. Last edited by Toaks on 20-Dec-2005 at 07:42 PM.

| So it won't work on OS4 then?
Shame if it doesn't, it looks good too! I would have brought it for sure.

The screenshots look very promising - any chance of putting the demo available for download? I understand it is a big demo, but I think you would get wider audience (and more potential customer) that way. _________________ "Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others." | Looks nice, I've been thinking for a while it's time the amiga got another racing game.
But anyway, does it use the same graphics engine ad flyin' high?
Also any plans for WarpOS and/or Warp3D support?

I think the engine is a Voxel Space engine. I think flying High used something more akin to the Wolfenstein type psuedo 3D engines.
I don't think Warp 3D could be added, as far as I know these type of functions aren't included in 3D hardware. I think Voxel Space was made as a fast way of generating 3D landscapes on 2D hardware. Once 3D hardware was readily available Models and textures were fine and therefore no need for clever tricks. Of course with classic Amigas the story is different. |

| robert: flying high has nothing in common with either the gfx engine or anything else with this game.
Desert racing use Voxels.
Wos and w3d is certainly not planned and will most likely never appear ...its even a shock that it has rtg support.
a good example of a game thats for classic on classic , hardware bashing code etc and seriously i think its a good idea too even if it means we wont be able to play it on our amigaone's unless we use uae :-/
anyway i ordered and i will try it on os4 and if no go i will just boot into os3.x and try it and if i love it i will make sure ya all will hear about it
that said, a port to os4 would interest me alot. (warpos too i guess though rewriting the game to use w3d for a game that is not 3d but voxels is errm that doesnt make sense ) _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com

| yeah, come to think of it it looks like a game called Werewolf I used to have, by novalogic (PC) If it runs well on fast 68k hardware I guess there's no need for WarpOS versions. Just a shame we don't have more games that take advantage of those expensive PowerUP boards and 3d accelerators
I know there are a few already so no list please Last edited by Robert17 on 20-Dec-2005 at 10:45 PM. Last edited by Robert17 on 20-Dec-2005 at 10:44 PM.

| i agree but warpos and powerup had a weary fight that killed both of em more or less , the only reason youre using warpos is because hyperion decided to support it i guess (or something) , i mean...what would warpos have been without heretic2 , freespace , quake , quake 2 , shogo ..and ofcourse the other companys who decided to support it with games like payback / crossfire 2 and the very few others out there..
anyway your expensive card can run os4 so when thats out for classic well , u can use more software.
(and you can run morphos today even on it.) _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com

Shadow Of A Third Moon supported graphics cards back in '96. Anyway good luck getting it running it on OS4.
When say if no you'll boot into OS3.x, does this mean you're running OS4 on BPPC. Maybe this explains why you can get games like Napalm and Bubble Heroes working when others can't. Atcually I think bubble heroes runs but the controls don't work. |

| rob:shadow of the third moon works on OS4(yes on an amigaone).
i have both a 1200 and a1, both running os4.
as for bubble heroes , it works but not on pre releases, wait for os4.0. as for napalm , only 1 version works (updates) and im not sure which atm but its the same old lame rtgmaster crap so only test and fail will help. _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com

I installed Napalm on my Amithlon system anyway. It's quite amusing running at full speed. I tend to find myself putting on the money cheat, building up a load of forces grouping them and then sending them off towards the enemy base and then I crank up the speed.
What graphics card do you run on your A1200, Bvision or Voodoo 3 via Mediator. I was wondering what 3D games ran like via Mediator on OS4. I've got a BPPC 040/25 210 and might get OS4 for that too. |

| rob: never seen it on amithlon, i dont use x86.
regarding my gear , a1260/66/240/scsi/256mb ram , voodoo 3 /sb128 / 10-100 ethernet /tvcard/CW/ int scandoubler +ff / fastata / mediatorSX , bla bla...very long list.
as for discussing speeds or whatever, no can do. NDA. _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com
