in process of downloading, sendspace seems to be quite slow though.

Dietmar, any chance of ever seeing a python mode?

Sounds good. One tiny thing I'd like: AISS support. The icons are not too bad but those from Martin just look better.

Excellent.

Ordered a copy on CD to show my support.
Hopefully it will help me with my C learning

I personally don't intend to make a mode for Python. Maybe somebody else will. On the other hand, if you must have this mode or any other feature, you can always sponsor it. I'm willing to implement any special interest feature if a customer is willing to pay for the development.

ok, I seem to consistently get errors in the C++ lha archive, complaining about :
"File: envcpp49 already exists as a directory!"

partway through extraction to a new top level folder....anyone else?

yes I get the same, if you look through the Unarc listing there are loads of
envcpp49 files, it must be the download lha thats faulty.

Please use a recent lha which understands -lh6-, old versions can't unpack this archive. You can find the link to a suitable version on the same page as the C/C++archive.

@dietmar

Hey, I knew that you could create a single window multiple document interface! I am dying
to try this one out as soon as I get back home. I guess I need to keep my end of the bargain
and provide an updated gdb connection :)

Is it possible to create my own windows with listviews and treeviews etc. within the CIDE
devkit or do I need to create those components myself?

regards,
Stefan

"single window multiple document interface! "

Does this mean it is like Cygnus Ed now?!?!?!?!

Does it mean I can have mulitple source codes on screen and move the "title bar" up and down to adjust the view?!?!?! (like in CED)

Can I use Amiga period and Amiga comma to switch from one source to another like in CED?

Please someone tell me! This could be the best thing sliced bread!

I think it doesn't. I suppose that CubicIDE provides tabs (like in IBrowse) for this purpose.
But I may be wrong. :)

I looked at the screenshot. The tabs look kewl.

Can I have 2 tabs pointing to the same file?
(sort of like a Split View in CED)

Is your question about creating components that show up inside the IDE window? There is no pre-fabricated generic list plug-in. But I could make one and offer its features through rexx.

Or are you asking about rexx commands to display dialogs? There are some programmable dialogs but they are very basic (list, string, number, multiple buttons, file requester).

@ChaosLord
There are no split views at the moment in the editor. The texts are stacked above each other (one upfront, the others behind).

Does it have unlimited undo like CED?
