| I'll be downloading this when I get home.
I hope that the AMIZILLA team take note. Cygnix would be the perfect vehicle to getting an initial non-native compile of Firefox running.

Yes - that's really true

No, this problem still exists. Have to modify the server for this. _________________ X-5000 PPC 5020/2 GHZ, Fractal Define XL R2-Tower, OS 4.1 final update 2, 4 GB, Radeon HD 7770, ESI Juli@ XTe SAM 460ex/1,15 GHZ, OS 4.1 final, 2 GB, Radeon HD 6450 Amiga 4000D/040 25 Mhz, OS 3.9 BB2, 272 MB, X-Surf, 250 MB ZIP

| Good work it's looking great now I like the OSX style. Now for the sad news I get a DSI grim reaper every time I launch one of the apps from the icon bar, if I ignore the app loads and works. This also happens when shuting down using the close button. Another problem is when I move or resize a window the displayed co-ordinates are corrupt. I installed gimp 1.2.5 and that launches ok with no errors. |

Same here. Also using the BackScreen gadget. And I still get an error when installing Gimp that shuts it down completely. Another question that comes up is how do you use the icons at the bottom of the screen? When I try some of them they give me a 'missing command' error. Do you need to install the Add-on from Release2?Last edited by Valiant on 09-Feb-2007 at 02:57 PM. Last edited by Valiant on 09-Feb-2007 at 02:56 PM.

Please can you send me / post a stack trace? I don't have this problem here.

The icons are configured to use the other packages I have published. This is only the base package - a kind of OS. The applications have to be installed separately. You can use all the other packages from prerelease 2. Some icons have links to recently unpublished programs. If you want to change the paths, please have alook at the Cygnix.guide section "Enlightenment". _________________ X-5000 PPC 5020/2 GHZ, Fractal Define XL R2-Tower, OS 4.1 final update 2, 4 GB, Radeon HD 7770, ESI Juli@ XTe SAM 460ex/1,15 GHZ, OS 4.1 final, 2 GB, Radeon HD 6450 Amiga 4000D/040 25 Mhz, OS 3.9 BB2, 272 MB, X-Surf, 250 MB ZIP

They have nothing in common, except the fact, that they are unix environments built on top of an other OS. CygWin is for Windows, Cygnix for AmigaOS 4. _________________ X-5000 PPC 5020/2 GHZ, Fractal Define XL R2-Tower, OS 4.1 final update 2, 4 GB, Radeon HD 7770, ESI Juli@ XTe SAM 460ex/1,15 GHZ, OS 4.1 final, 2 GB, Radeon HD 6450 Amiga 4000D/040 25 Mhz, OS 3.9 BB2, 272 MB, X-Surf, 250 MB ZIP

| I'm using this quite successfully as a terminal for my Linux server, I can run most apps with only the following issues:
a 32 bit screen means I cant open any remote applications OpenOffice opens, but as soon as I click on a menu it freezes the whole system.
I dont think this is an issue with the debian box because I also have a MacMini running OSX and Apples X Server which can display OpenOffice menus (run from the debian server) and runs on a 32 bit screen.
I will admit to not having tested the 32 bit screen yet under the pre-release 3 version.
Regards

| I get the Dsi errors. I tried it as an upgrade after having problem with a fresh install. The upgrade works better because it finds previously installed programs like the Gimp. _________________ A1/G4 1GHZ

Not really- we use Linux, as it has full GCC suppport, and is just easier all round. Cygnix may be ok for it though. What we really need is a newer version of GCC- as the older versions choke on complex Templates- probably need at least V4.0. We can compile the NSPR, but some String code needs it in XPCOM.

I cannot remove these DSI bugs without further informations. Please post (or send me by mail - look at the profile) a crashlog.
How to create a crashlog: When the GrimReaper is displayed, click on "more..." and the on "Write Crash Log". The logfile is written to the ram disk. _________________ X-5000 PPC 5020/2 GHZ, Fractal Define XL R2-Tower, OS 4.1 final update 2, 4 GB, Radeon HD 7770, ESI Juli@ XTe SAM 460ex/1,15 GHZ, OS 4.1 final, 2 GB, Radeon HD 6450 Amiga 4000D/040 25 Mhz, OS 3.9 BB2, 272 MB, X-Surf, 250 MB ZIP

If your getting DSI's make sure you update your abcshell. It looks like the SH that comes with the last SDK doesn't work with this version of Cygnix.
As soon as I update abc-shell the DSI's went away for me. _________________ Micro A1 866 Mhz and AmigaOS 4.1 PowerMac G4 1.4 Ghz and MorphOS 2.7

| Thanks, BobW. That took care of the GR's from icon launching and using the back gadget. _________________ -- -=#Val#=- Valiant@Camelot

I installed the AddOn package and the icon path is the same as where the Mahjong game is installed, but when I click on the Mahjong icon nothing happens. When I was getting the GR's due to lack of the most recent abc-shell I did get an error message that said it couldn't start the Start_xmahjong.bat, but after installing the news abc-shell I don't even get that message anymore. _________________ -- -=#Val#=- Valiant@Camelot
