You can PM any mod you find online. You can also click on the About Us link in the left hand column to find who is a mod if you do not know.

So what mistake do you want corrected?

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

No problem. I changed the text to read as you sent. It should be OK now.

Thanks again. I'm sure that both the community and Chris will make this happen.

I'm hopeful that this, when and if it's done, will have a trickle down affect for everybody that uses Poseidon too. More varied drivers and the like.

This also means good news for OS4: at last we'll be able to have USB2 transfer speeds.

"Goal: 4000$"

mean that it will only happen it that goal is reached?

LOL! So they want $4,000 to make some software open source? I thought the point of open source is that it is free?

How is that good news for OS4? It relates the the AROS public license. What says the code can be used elsewhere? In any case the bounty is many times the cost of OS4.1. It will be ages before the bounty is reached. And will any code be written before it is reached?

It could be recompiled and included in OS4 if desired.

Read the APL license.

So you could buy OS4 sources for many times less than $4000? yeah sure

Efika AROS bounty is over $3000. It also has taken ages until OS4 was released and ATM OS4 has no USB2 driver (in contrast AmigaOS3 and MorphOS have thanks to Poseidon). It will take ages until OS4 has USB2.

AFAIK Chris plans to release small bugfixes but not to implement a lot of new features. The 68k code already works on AmigaOS3/AmigaOS4, adapting the PCI driver shouldn't take a lot of work.

There you have it, you have a code inside your own post and it answers yourself...

IIRC both MorphOS and AmigaOS4 already use code from the AROS project.
