So when is that ugly, non useful wide window frame on the right side of windows going to be
removed from the OS completly???
IMHO it's a total waste of space as well as being ugly.. Simply makes no use being there.

It's an option, WB menu "Workbench/Backdrop?". If you turn it on, the side & bottom scroll bars are gone on the WB.

Sorry, but I'm talking about another thing.

In the screenshots of Timberwolf running in a window the righthand side of the window
frame is extra wide, to follow the window resize gadget in the bottom right side.
This is what I'm talking about.

Seems like that's part of the theme being used, most likely default. I know the GUI prefs has changed a bit for 4.1.1, just have to wait to see all the changes. OWB uses that space for the scroll bar.

It's ugly because the scroll bar should be in there. I hope that is fixed up. The menu fonts look nice but AmigaOS doesn't have menus below the titlebar, we have them hidden.

But don't blame AmigaOS for it, it's there because the programmer specified it! It's a valid option. But it should be on the bottom. Where it looks much better along with the sizing gadget.

That's another thing, AmigaOS needs a hidden size gadget and with dragable window borders. (And no, as standard, not with commodities or clumsy hotkeys .) The ugly border frame is a result of needing to fit that sizing gadget in.

This is the default FireFox menu's - It does not confirm to 100% Amiga Look and Feel for sure. Perhaps later this could be an option re-programmed.

Does FireFox on other platforms change or re-program the default FireFox look and feel?

I suspect the ugly rt border is because Firefox is rendering its own interface. For now, the simplest approach is to have the firefox interface inside an ordinary intuition window. That is why you have non-standard things like menu headers and scrollbars where they're not supposed to be in AmigaOS. Those are all secondary concerns to getting the port fully functional. Once that's done, I'm sure (or at least I hope) they'll clean up the interface a bit to make it more "standard".

Firefox on Mac use MacOS style menu, so different style for menu are alredy supported on the main FF core

IIRC This is BitStream Vera. We will try to make the menus AmigaOS-menus; I am not sure however that this will be possible, mostly because AmigaOS menus have quite a number of constraints that might be too much for Gecko's menus - MacOS Firefox has MacOS style menus too, but they have a generally more powerful user interface anyway.

There had been ideas on how to replace th gadget with something that does not require the window border to be used up. It's mostly a matter of time.
